The Braun Pro 2000 has three different heat settings, although even the top setting still doesn't get very hot, therefore meaning that it can take longer to dry hair using this hairdryer than some others. This is perhaps in order to achieve the quieter noise levels produced by the hairdryer which are advertised to the extreme on the packaging! It also has a 'cool' button which is often found on hairdryers and is designed to set your ... ...The Braun Pro 2000 is available in most of the usual places. Argos definitly stocks it, as do Boots and John Lewis. However, these places do offer a wide selection so it's definitly worth having a look around first to see exactly what you can get for your money. ...

My first Braun PRO 2000 hairdryer was a Christmas present last year from my daughter as between us we had worn out our old one! The name suggested it would be as good as a professional hairdryer.
I have to say that for the first six months of its life it performed perfectly, was really powerful - and I could dry my whole head of hair in one go. Toria was using it too, and she has long hair as well, so it was getting a bit of a bashing.
In July ... ...- guess what? Yes, another Braun 2000!!!!!
I decided to give it another go - so have been using it since then. It's a nice dryer, not too heavy, silver in colour, with two heat and speed settings, and a removable filter makes it easy to clean.
This morning, however, it has cut out - half way through drying my hair - and I have had enough!
I have found my warranty and the dryer will be going back today - look out Argos, here I come, you'll recognise ...

Advantages: it looks great Disadvantages: to big heavy etc.
i bought this for my holiday in the summer because i needed a new one.
i wanted one like you would get in the salon, medium sized but powerful and looks really good.
this does look neat and the colour is not tacky unlike the normal black ones so if your going for style this is great.
but when i turned it on it did not seem very powerful at all. the most powerful setting was the same as my medium setting in my old and scabby hairdyer.
it is quite ... ...though.
i wouldnt recommend this hair dryer even though it looks good it doesnt do any good to be honest.
and what its worth for the money. not very much. i think i paid about £25
when i could have got a £15 one with the same amount of power but maybe not as much style.
my hair is very long so it can take a long time to dry and this hairdryer just does not do it for me. ...

Advantages: good cheap hairdryer Disadvantages: none that i can think of
I have had this hairdryer for a few years now, and I have no fault with it whatsoever. It's a good looking hairdryer, being a silvery lilac colour, and it is very light and easy to use. It has 3 different heat temperatures, 2 speeds, and a cool shot. I love to used the cool shot to cool down my face after being under the heat, and it really is cool.
It comes with a concentrator nozzle and a salon length cord. I have used this hairdryer at least ... ...years, and I've never had a problem with it. It makes light work of my long thick hair, halving the time it used to take. It's also ionic, which produces more ions, and looks after your hair better making it less frizzy and easier to manage. This dryer works really well, drying my hair quickly but without damaging it, definitely one of my best buys ever.
Over all, if you want a cheap hairdryer, you can't go wrong with this one. ...

Advantages: Good range of heat settings. Cold shot. ?Ionic technology. Long lead. Disadvantages: Large and heavy to use. A bit noisy.
I was deeply sceptical about the "ionic technology". The idea is that static electricity (which can make hair bush out) is not built up by this drier so your hair lies smoother on your head. Whatever the drier emits when the blue button is pressed, I do think that it (or something) makes my hair less flyaway. You can switch it off if you like.
There are 3 heat levels and 3 fan speeds.The "cold shot" is useful for helping to set a style before venturing ... ...and dries hair quickly but inevitably, given its power, is a bit noisy. The long lead makes it relatively easy to look in a mirror when drying hair. Unfortunately the dryer is a lot larger and heavier than my old Braun, which doesn't have a direct replacement, so it's less comfortable to use and takes up more storage space. For travel I prefer something smaller, lighter and quieter. However as a home drier I would recommend it. ...
