There are some times when the urge just overtakes you. There is nothing you can do to try and suppress it. It creeps up behind you and then WHAM!!! there it is. This urge usually strikes after a very long evening of excess. To blend... to mix or mingle; to mix so that the components cannot be distinguished. At the moment I am experiencing the delights of weaning my six month old son. I had been using the various assortments of ready-made baby food on offer, but felt that I should perhaps make some of my own concoctions. So, I tried to blend half a banana (ok not exactly a recipe) in our old ancient electric blender that hadn't been used for years.
