Electric toothbrushes - Part 1 -- Oral Sensations

Advantages: Has the bare essentials for an electric toothbrush, by Braun. A bargain at around £15
Disadvantages: Charging time, reach, only buy one with a timer, bulkier than others. Arguably out of date.

Save your money and smile at the dentist.

Advantages: Easy to use, cheap and genuinely as good as a trip to the hygenists.
Disadvantages: None that I’ve found in years of four times daily usage.

...first person to launch the Braun Oral-B range several years ago and since buying my very first one at its promotional half-price, I have given them to my daughters for Christmas, bought them for friends in Australia, where they cost three times the price and are prized gifts due to the savings in dentists' fees. This is the simplest of the adult models, yet has nearly all the features of any of its more expensive family. I bought this latest model ...
...unreserved vote of confidence. This toothbrush is beautifully designed, easy to hold and manipulate and even with soapy hands you can switch it on and off easily by feeling the clear rubbery button. It sits on its little neat charger when not in use, and stays charged for a long time - you can even take it to work and use it without the need to recharge! The charger plugs into a shaver socket, so you probably need an adaptor, and you will need to ...

Sparkling pearly whites

Advantages: cleans teeth better than a conventional brush
Disadvantages: needs to be recharged

...than a conventional toothbrush. Braun Oral B is a respected brand name for oral hygiene and I think it is one of the best. Not always the cheapest but you should never cut corners when it comes to looking after your teeth - remember how expensive dentist bills are. The cost of an electric toothbrush has definetly gone down over the years and the one I bought recently only cost £15 and comes with a charger that can be kept in your bathroom if you ...
...and lasts a few days. You only need to charge it once a week overnight or you can leave it permanently plugged in when you are not using it as you can't overcharge them. The toothbrushes with the round head are best for moving around your teeth. These are not cheap either costing around £3 pounds each but come with an indicator on the bristles to tell you when they need changing. They also last quite awhile if used correctly. You can also put differently ...

Keep that sparkly smile

Advantages: my teeth feel great after brushing-with so little effort
Disadvantages: replacement heads are pricey

...Pharmacy, and they had a Braun Plaque Remover Solo on sale at 12.99. It seemed perfect-cheap, rechargable battery, 12 month guarantee and a recommendation by dentists. When i got it home and used it, i wasnt disappointed-the charging stand is quite compact, and fits neatly on the bathroom shelf, and the box contained an instruction leaflet on how to use the toothbrush to get the maximum cleaning effect. The head of the toothbrush in circular and ...
...the entire tooth. The bristles are quite spft, which means its very gentle on your gums. One feature that i was particularly impressed with (i live a sheltered life!)was the bristles of the toothbrush lose their blue colour as the brush is used. You are reccommended to change the head once the bristles turn white half way down. I found this very handy-i know that i am always cleaning with a useful and effective brush if its still blue. To clean ...

Clean shiny teeth with minimal effort

Advantages: Clean shiny teeth for that sparkling smile
Disadvantages: none!

The first time I visited the dentist after buying this electric tootbrush, he commented on my excellent hygiene, and didn't bother with my usual scale and polish. I think that says it all, really! I have also had comments from several friends about how shiny my teeth are. This is a rechargeable toothbrush which comes supplied with a plug-in charger. I usually leave mine plugged in overnight every couple of weeks to charge it up. The small brush ...
...back teeth. The brush heads are replaceable and cost about £7 for two. The main unit seems to be constantly going down in price, but I think it's about £15 at the moment. A couple of minutes brushing twice a day gives me my cleanest-ever teeth. A vast improvement on the old manual method! ...
