...good things about Breville.
The Breville JK73 is a great little kettle which looks great in my kitchen and heats up quickly whenever I need to use it so despite the fact my wife and I are not regular hot drinks people we are now more likely to have as we don't have to wait for ages for the water to heat up.
Recently we had family visiting who were big tea and coffee drinkers and so this kettle was brilliant and really came into its own as it has ... ...water hot (this saves time when doing further drinks and also energy over heating water from scratch again).
The kettle has a good length cord which when not in use fully can be wrapped around the internal section of the base and with a 360 degree base it is simple to use and you don't have to fidget trying to find which way to put the kettle back on the stand.
When you switch the kettle on it has a great light up feature (red for when heating ...

Advantages: Boils water, the some what keep warm function, lights up blue when boiling. Disadvantages: The lid flicks hot water if just been boild when opening.
I bought this kettle 3 years ago from Argos well actually 3 and a half years ago when I was looking to buy my first home, all very exciting stuff,i believe i paid around £35 for this kettle.
So to start off this is a very reliable kettle considering it has been going for 3 years now and to think I was going to throw it away for the all new 3second kettle, when mine is perfectly functioning and still probably going to be around for another few years.
... ...except when you press the button to boil the kettle this kettle lights up blue and then switches off once it has finished boiling.
A few negatives about this kettle I have are the fact that after the kettle has been boiled and you want to fill it back up for something else, the lid sort of flips open which I think is a pretty silly design because a few times when I first bought this kettle I had hot water flung at me from the lid, I now hold a tea ...

Hi there, i own this lettle myself, and the matching toaster which i have already written a review on if you wish to read it.
I purchased this kettle at excellent price of around £25 two years ago. It caught my eye because of the kettle lights up blue as its heating, and its lovely style. It also has anticalac filter, keep warm function ( this is operated when you press the boil button in ), auto cut off, fast boil, and is cordless.
its lasted ... ...has hardley had any lime scale build up, which is excellent.. there is only one problem i have with mine, maybe its because of age i don't know, but the out side of the kettles plastic it starting to show very small cracking in it. i don't believe this to be good.
apart from this the kettles daone me proud. i hope you like reading this review. xxx ...
