Decent pub, decent food, not a decent job.
Review of Brewers Fayre by
leebo87
Advantages: Quick service, good service, nice food and good value.
Disadvantages: Bar is fairly expensive, working hours are long, pay isnt great. 90% of food is microwaved.
Brewers Fayre, a brand name of Whitbread PLC is a good family orientated restaurant that is also well favoured by many adults both young and old. In this review I hope to give a strong in-depth look at not only what the brand is like to have a meal at, but also to show what it is like to work at one of this brands restaurants and Whitbread PLC. I will start with my experience in dinning at these restaurants. I have visited many pubs and restaurants ...

Yum Yum Yum
Review of Brewers Fayre by
coolchanty
Advantages: execellent service, food always piping hot and what you ask for, wide choice on the menu, even for those of us dieting, childrens menu, basically everything you wuld expect from a chain restaurant
Disadvantages: None
...I enjoy it at the Brewers Fayre as you always get a warm welcome, your served quickly, your food is always correct and hot and the value of the food is good.
I have been eating at the Brewers Farye now for nearly 3 years and I can even still eat there being on a diet.
They are also very hygienic and clean as I have never had to request for clean cutlery or my table to be cleaned. I have never found anything in my food like I have in some places. ...

Review of Brewers Fayre by
cbrown1980
Advantages: Free beer
Disadvantages: Food poisoning
Being a regular when it comes to eating out, I thought I'd share my experience's of this restaurant with you. These are accounts of four different occasions at four different Brewsters. The following content may be slightly on the gross side and is entirely factual.Ahem...
GENERAL INFORMATION
You can find these restaurants at the side of busy roads and near slip roads. They look rather welcoming and usually have a large play area outside for ...

BREWERS FAYRE - TOO STANDARD FOR ME
Review of Brewers Fayre by
kismet
Advantages: well trained staff, clean and tidy
Disadvantages: standard menu across all branches
...had never eaten in a Brewers Fayre. They just did not appeal to me, however when we were staying in Torquay we were looking for something other than fish and chips along the harbour and decided to pay them a visit. Since then I have also been to one in Exeter and two in Oxford, so I now feel qualified to write an opinion on Brewers Fayre. I also took away a menu leaflet so that I could remember what was on it.

Time out.
Review of Brewers Fayre by
muzzy
Advantages: Affordable
Disadvantages: Busy sometimes
I have a Brewers' Fayre very close to my home, it's fantastic when i have guests as i always know i will get a good sized meal for a great price.
I have 3 children & there is a brilliant play area for them, just out the way of the tables but i can still see them. There is only 1 way in & 1 way out so they cannot get out the restaurant without me seeing them first.
The menu is always changing every couple of months so i never get bored with it, ...

Great offers - shame about timing for food
Review of Brewers Fayre by
selket135
Advantages: Lovely delicious food, value for money - cheap offers, nice atmosphere
Disadvantages: long wait for food, bit crowded
...experience eating there.
We visited Brewers Fayre a few months ago on the way back from a long 5 hour journey. We were starving hungry as were our 3 children. We were gracefully greeted and sat in a very busy area with seats almost on top of each other.
I must admit the staff were very friendly and did their best to help. We were put off that you have to order food from the serving/ till area near the bar. We also had to make sure to remember ...

Brewers Fayre, The Anchor, Scunthorpe
Review of Brewers Fayre by
steve2466
Advantages: Good service
Disadvantages: Inconsistant Quality
I dine regularly at this restaurant when I stay at the adjacent Premier Travel Inn in Scunthorpe.
The reason I choose this one is convienience.
The food is usually ok but it can be very varied.
This review is based on my last visit
It is a very spacious eating area with smokers well segragated from other diners. The place is always very clean and tidy.
There is a large TV screen, tuned into BBC News 24, mounted on the wall above the smoking ...

nice pubs not so sure about food
Review of Brewers Fayre by
haz109
Advantages: friendly staff, good for families
Disadvantages: food from packet frozen
...the afternoons to see the brewers fayre packed out with people, as i found out when i tried it out the other day and as i have a friend who works in the kitchen.
The pub itself is actually rather nicely decorated with wodden beams, log fire, very clean and a very homely feel making you feel nicely relaxed and comfortable. So first imressions great and then the smile on the face of the staff making you feel wanted and again cant fault the drinks ...

Brewers Fayre, Old West Quay, Hartlepool
Review of Brewers Fayre by
Segedunum
Advantages: Standard pub fare in a restaurant atmosphere. Specials on blackboard.
Disadvantages: Unimaginative 'plastic' menu.
Brewers Fayre, Hartlepool is in Hartleypool Marina next to the Premiere Travel inn and is called Old West Quay and not far from the Hartlepool maritime 'Centre'.
Having been misdirected to other local restaurants, we were left with no choice but to visit the Old west Quay for lunch.
Once we had found the rather obscure entrance we found ourselves in a pleasant wooden floored area with modern tables and chairs. As there was no-one to greet us ...

Quick review of Brewers Fayre
Review of Brewers Fayre by
orangebarley
Ordered shephers pie from specials menu,it arrived quickly,
served in a pie dish on a plate with peas and chips a small jug of gravy was also placed on the plate,
The potato was watery mush , tiny amount of mince inside ,all I could taste was a mountain of mixed herbs and heat ( I suspect it was still cooking after having been mirowaved far to long) The frozen chips were tasteless and had not been cooked properly, the gravy I can only describe as being a jug of hot water that had experienced an oxo cube flying over the top of it.
Told waitress it was awfull, her reply, Would you like Dessert?
Expensive at £7.99 will not eat there again

Brewers Fayre - a mixed bag
Review of Brewers Fayre by
GABRYANT
Advantages: Good beer and the same whereever you go
Disadvantages: Poor food
...(as a family) have used Brewers Fayre - various locations - a number of times over the last few years. Sometimes a delightful experience but mainly disappointing. Children's play things have not been available and the food has been 'middling' to say the best. Burger buns have been over-microwaved, steaks have been burnt and service has been terrible.
Location of restaurants are good - roadside, close to home. Warm and friendly - mainly!
Prices ...
