This was his first battery operated vehicle and on top of that it has remote control. I thought that would be a good opportunity to stop him playing with various remote controls for adults. (It was only a thought as there are never enough remotes for boys - ... ...new dimension to the whole Brio set. My son quickly discovered all the options available from the remote so horn was used quite often; lights were on and off all the time. There is a very genuine sound when brakes are applied. It is also possible to go forward and reverse. All this could be done from the remote. On the train itself you can stop and start the engine and adjust A/B channel for communication with the remote.
