I have had this water filter for about a year now and brought it after I dropped exactly the same model and cracked the jug. I think so much of this product I went and brought a new one without hesitation and have recommended as well as buying it as a present for many friends. We were given a Brita water filter for Christmas this year by my brother, having wanted one for some time as we live in a hard water area. Although I am not a huge water drinker, I have noticed that tea doesn’t always taste as nice, and my husband had certainly commented on the taste of the water. All you have to do is wash the jug and funnel then put in the filter after you have soaked it in water for about 20-30 mins.With my model you set a little button on top of the jug each time you replace the filter. This also has a small LCD display on the lid which lets you know when the filter cartridge needs to be changed - useful.
