Advantages: improves the water quality Disadvantages: expensive and sometimes hard to find
I live in quite a hard water area and find that the water is only drinkable using the filter. The taste of the water is vastly improved, mainly because the filters take out all or most of the limescale. They last for about a month before needing replacing, and can be a bit of a pain to change, as you need to run water through several times before you can drink the water. Also the filter cartridges are quite expensive, costing around £12 for a box ...
