Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Flimsy , need to handle with care

...therefore can be expensive. Brother ink cartridges are not also as easy to purchase on the high street as some other makes although they can be purchased on the internet and i did notice yesterday that tesco has just started to sell the black cartridge for this machine. A third problem is that the cable to link the printer to the pc is not included in the pack. We used the cable from our old printer and this worked fine but if you haven't got this, ... Read review

Printer Breakdown Nightmare.

Advantages: Stylish, easy to use, slimline, space saving, very cheap inks
Disadvantages: broke down, JUST after WARRENTY had run out, colour print speed

...year ago I bought a Brother DCp 117c, which is allmost idetnical to the Brother DCP 117c. The unit itself worked very well, and was very simple to use and understand. That was WHILE it worked. JUST after the warrenty ran out, the print quality started to decrease, untill it could not print at all. We were told by a printer expert that the print head had broken. Advantages: high quality prints
Disadvantages: far too many errors and problems..

...certainly wouldnt go for a brother again. I was attracted to it due to the cheap inks available as my last printer a Lexmark (which was simply amazing) was just far too expensive for ink. The DCP-115C keeps failing every so often and when you are lucky enough to get it working(when its in a good mood) you will be pleased with its results. Advantages: Compact and 3 in one
Disadvantages: Not plug n play

This is a nifty printer. I needed a new one and found it in my local Tesco for a whopping £49.97 rrp IS £79.99. It takes about 20 minutes to set up but it is very easy to do. It needs a lead for a printer (forgot lead name) but apart from that everything else is included. The print quality is superb and very fast...The scan quality and photocopy quality is also very high. i have had this printer for about 1 month now and have had no problems with it. i think the main advantages of this printer are: *It has 1 ink cartridge for every different color (yellow, blue, red, black) so when 1 color runs out you don't have to buy a whole new color ink cartridge with 3 colors. *Excellent Quality *the ink cartridges last a long time *it has a scanner/photocopier as well as a printer *it is very compact with the ... Advantages: Easy to use, great print results,
Disadvantages: fiddly to get at the cartridges, the software takes awhile to load

I bought this for my daughter who needed a reliable and easy to use printer for her self her husband and her four kids to use. She uses an Apple Mac and needed a compatible printer and one that would be easy to install, easy to use and easy to configure. The cartridges needed to be easy to install when they need replacing. Advantages: Great Perfoming with good value for money
Disadvantages: A bit flimsy

I was looking for an all in one to replace a dell one which i had rather bad experiences for it. Firstly it was a good price, i got it for £50 which was one of the cheaper ones. It looks good, it quite thin and has a neat design. Furthermore the card slots are really useful for priniting straight from cameras etc. But this is no good if the quality is poor! Advantages: Great multi-function item if short of space for 3 separate machines.
Disadvantages: None so far !

...and despite several calls to Brother Helpline still had problems, as I am fairly new to computer technology. However it seemed too good a bargain to miss, and my fears were totally unfounded. As long as the instructions are followed exactly step by step, it took me about 20mins. The most important part is to be sure and set up the machine BEFORE attaching the USB cable.
