Advantages Good quality, duplex printing

So working from home, you really need a good printer, yes I have the HP Photosmart 2610, but really I didn't want to be constantly using a colour printer, so I decide that a Laser printer was what I needed. *** What did I get ? *** After much thought, and looking at various options, I went for the Brother HL-6050D, although as I have a network at home, I should have gone for the HL-6050DN, oh well live and learn. I got this printer on line from Misco, and it cost me around £340, but looking around you can get it for anything from £315 up to £390. *** What's in the box? *** The box is rather ... more

Advantages Fast and Reliable. Reprint and Dual side functions
Disadvantages Large Footprint, and noisy

My old Epson finally gave up the ghost around 10 months ago, which lead me to look for a new Printer to hopefully last me the next 5 years. I eventually chose the Brother HL6050. Although this machine is probably the largest of the ones I looked at, it is by far the best. 42cm deep, and 31 cm tall. The Brother Hl 6050 is a mono laser printer, and cost me £299 from dabs.com. Incredibly quick printing, for the price (24ppm - pages per minute), and a paper tray which holds a full ream (500 sheets). You can use traditional cables, or USB or Infra red.
