The Brown Brothers Cabernet Sauvignon which I have tasted was the vintage 2000. They have other vintages and the latest one could possibly be the 2001. Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape, and this wine is made of it, so basically it’s red wine.( although some wines are made of Cabernet Sauvignon, they turn out white, as it depends on the vintners).

Advantages: strong, tasty Disadvantages: gets ya plastered
I spotted this wine in my local off license, it was sitting in the \"imported\" section under Australian wine, I am not a fan of Australian wine, but this one has changed my mind.
The bottle is a standard 75cl bottle, and the label is plain and boring, nothing about it makes it jump off the shelf. I picked it up anyway and had a read, 14.5% proof
WOW 14.5% is very high alcohol content for a wine, so I decided to buy it. It was a little expensive ... ...I was having a special evening, I got it anyway.
Now, Cabernet Sauvignon is a favourite wine of mine, because, it is not really a histamine producing wine like a Merlot or a Chablis is, so I will wake up the day after with no blocked nose.
I opened the bottle and left it to breathe for a few hours, then poured it. The bouquet was amazing, there was a really strong blackcurrant smell from it, and this carried over to the taste. Although the wine ...

Advantages: Big fruit favour Disadvantages: not a long taste
...a long time in Melbourne, Brown Bothers is well known to me but I had never had this vintage. Its colur is very good; a nice deep red/purple and the nose is also likewise very good but the taste is excellent. I have tried a large number of other cabernets from Australia and California and it is easily the equal of many other wines at twice the price.
