Mines 12 inches long, what's yours

Advantages: Instantly recognisable product
Disadvantages: Gone downhill since Frank and Louie

...oversized takeaway food item? Budweiser have had some of the best adverts on the TV. They've also had some remarkably normal ads which don't entertain you as much but probably put the message across better. Currently they seem to be running two campaigns. The first is pretty normal, with a couple of adverts. The first advert involves foaming bottles and shots of the pure ingredients that go into making the beer. The second extolls the beer and ends ...
...was a tad dissapointed when Budweiser introduced their next campaign. But it soon started tongues wagging (in more ways than one). Simply put - "Wazzup". The campaign had various situations of a group of friends ringing each other up, screaming "Wazzup!" down the phone and saying they were watching a game, drinking a bud - whether they were at home, or actually at the game. Simplicity itself. What Budweiser probably weren't expecting was the way ...

Bud.dy Good Ads

Advantages: excellent product awareness, clever ads
Disadvantages: nothing - can I have my free bottle please

...a 'Bud' ! Well the Budweiser company have most definately marketed their beer very well. There is hardly a bar in the UK that you can't see a group of lads - and girls - with bottle of Bud in hand. Other 'trendy' designer beers may come and go, but Bud seems to be as popular as ever. The companies TV Campaigns have been memorable, if quirky. First one I remember is the Budweiser Frogs. Remember those, some might say cute, frogs on the bank making ...
...just frogs - they were BUDWEISER Frogs! Thats the idea with advertising though isn't it, product awareness. Doesn't matter how good the product is, if it's not known or unregarded, it wont sell. Then there was another national catchphrase "Wasssup!" As a group of mates sat around phoning each other with the final ad in the series showing two of them in the crowd at the same Baseball game that the guys back home were watching. Again, it said little ...

Louis the Lizard learns Wassssup.

Advantages: Very funny - Very clever.
Disadvantages: None.

...If you haven’t seen the Budweiser adverts then the start of this opinion will not mean anything to you at all. But, that will probably also mean that you have been on another planet for the past few months, so you probably don’t know what Budweiser is either. The ad men at Budweiser have been really clever here. For the past few months they have been running two simultaneous sets of adverts for Budweiser beer, with totally different themes. ...
...young friends who all drink Budweiser and have the catch phrase “Wassssup”. This phrase has really caught on throughout the country, to the annoyance of many, many parents. Now these two sets of adverts have been combined it has resulted in a brilliant, very funny advert. A lot of clever adverts sometimes do not manage to get across the product name, but this advert is not only clever, but gets the message across, as they have included ...

'Wassup' with these set of adverts?

Advantages: Good production values as always.
Disadvantages: We're in the UK, we couldn't care less about the great American contradiction.

Oh dear....generally the Budweiser series of adverts have been hit-and-miss. The set of adverts that were inspired from the film 'Delicatessen' (the man trying to swot a fly whilst jumping on a bed whilst others are doing menial things in synchronised rhythm) are generally a miss. Whilst the talking frogs/sadistic lizards series were fantastic and very original and were undoubtedly a hit. While saving us for the treat that are the 'Wassup' series ...
...adverts. This concentrates on how Budweiser Light has all the great taste of a premium strength lager but is low in calories compared to an ordinary Budweiser....the great American contradiction as it were. The first of the series features a cocky man talking to a hamburger street vendor and discussing why a hamburger is called a hamburger when it doesn't contain any ham. (Anybody who knows any general knowledge will know they were brought over ...

you are so beautiful, bud...

Advantages: refreshing, smooth, moreish
Disadvantages: toads look good

...heart, my all... Ah, Budweiser beer makes a guy feel reallllllllly special, in a dozy sort of way. That toad, tumbling between car wheels as i watched, her throat ballooning out, belching her protest as she raised two fingers at the errant car driver, was as ugly as sin normally. But hey, Bud makes you wistful, ok? This is a 440ml can, and it's appealing to my sense of colour: the red/white/gold livery of the aluminium making me think 'Union Jack' ...
...a date) overlooking a typical Budweiser bar: all neon and glowing reflections across water; very showy American stuff. The irritating chameleon/lizard is most annoyed - a kind of 'do-gooder', a typical 'peering behind the curtains' type interfering busybody, who likes nothing better than to cast aspersions and question everything. You know someone like that. His 'mate', a more genteel 'let live' lizard tries to subdue his pal and generally the pal ...

BUDDIES

Advantages: Lizards are funky
Disadvantages: Short

...expects something good from the Budweiser adverts, as it's sort of become tradition. Firstly i got addicted to the cool, cute adverts when their stars were the three frogs, saying BUD WEIS ER!each, then there was the two lizards that i've had as a screensaver on my pc that still makes me laugh, more recently we had the either hate or love chilling out having a bud advert with wwwwaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssss uuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppppppppppppp! in between(so ...
...them saying WWWWAAAAASSSSS UUUUUPPPPP! Budweiser have eventually realised they are good and are winning with their promotional adverts. They are sticking to themes that are already in peoples heads and are automatically recogniseable, which is the only way to sell products. Although the adverts aren't brilliant, they are original, funny, light hearted, and altogether fun. The fun advert, for a fun drink!!!!They don't try and sell their product ...

Advantages: funny at first, but boring now

...excellent and very very funny. I much preffered the story of Frank and Louie and their endeavours against the Budweiser Frogs, as they where funnier and more lasting in the memory, and altogether much better adverts. I just hope Budweiser drop these ads and bring in some new ideas. ...

...same theme. Remember the Budweiser frogs? Remember how annoying those adverts became? Well it seems that the company deicded that as the 'whass upp' idea caught on, they can produce several more adverts and us, the audience, will love them. How wrong could they be? I have to congratulate the people who think these adverts up, as they manage to promote the product very well. however, they also manage to make us hate them. Original and funny the first ...

Mister Foot-long Hotdog Inventor

Advantages: Very funny, well thought out.
Disadvantages: None.

...when I thought, "Yes!! The Budweiser Comercials" ,only to find that nobody has written about Mister Foot-long Hotdog Inventor or Mister Wrecking Ball Operator. These adverts are so funny, even better than the lizard. In fact, my friend's little girl finds them so funny that she asked me to find out the words to the entire Hotdog advert so that I could sing it to her(which ofcourse, I did). The funny thing about them is not the voice over guy with ...
...two tonne ball, but the cheezy, full of himself singer that's whaling his guts out like some big-time superstar doing a gig for charity or something. The guy is fantastic and the content of his song only adds to the sheer brilliance of the whole concept. The advert has been very cleverly thought out and mirrors what you might find on an every day american commercial. Is he supposed to look and sound like "The Boss" or what? Thankyou Budweiser. Your ...

funny but annoying

Advantages: funny advert
Disadvantages: annoying after a while

...my home. The Budweiser adverts are brilliant and funny, I'll not bother describing them because unless you've been in outer space or don't own a TV you'll have seen at least one. They are also a goldmine for all the mobile phone operators and BT. My son and husband find it hilarious to sit upstairs and ring our house phone, normally when I'm busy, then when I rush to pick up the phone I'm greeted by Wasssup and a fit of giggles. This game not being ...
...In a vain attempt to reduce my ever rising telephone bill I bought child number 2 (the husband) a mobile phone. Now what do they spend hours doing? Sending each other Wasssup text messages. As the saying goes "if you can't beat them, join them" so I now use the free sms services that you find on the internet, getting my own back. Ah, revenge is sweet! ...

Very clever indeed

Advantages: Funny
Disadvantages: none except getting everyone saying "wassssuuupp" all the time

...a huge fan of the Budweiser frogs. I thought the adverts were superbly done, funny, and had an ongoing storyline that kept people wanting to see them - will Louie kill the frogs!! When they finished (with one of the best ads!) I started to wonder whether they'd continue the frog theme, or go for something completely different. I'll be the first to admit that I immediately thought that it was impossible to come up with something as funny as the frog ...
...ads are very clever indeed. I first saw them on holiday in Majorca this year and it immediately got a grin from myself and most others in the bar. For humour only, I prefer the frogs......but the new ads seem to be in a series as well and "waaaaassssuuuuuppp", as annoying as it is, has become a buzzword. To be able to get people using a buzzword from an ad, is an achievement and the Bud advertising bods have done it again. They are indeed very clever ...

Whaaazzzzzzuuuuuuup

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

What an incredible ad campaign that was. Everyone in North America is saying "Whaaaazzzzuuuuupp" I can't believe the impact this ad has created. The important part is that everyone remember that it is a Bud commercial. Most catchy ads go around the world but no one really remembers what the ad was for. I just got married in July and every speech made that night began with the now infamous "Whaaaazzzzzuuuuup" and ended with the click of a nice cold ...

wassssssup!!

Advantages: The adverts done its job
Disadvantages: everyones saying it!

...come up with the idea. Budweiser always seem to come up with adverts that you 'store' in your brain. Like the toads, people would always remember the toads going 'bud-weis-er' and you'd hear people saying it. You assosiate it with a brand and when you hear it, it makes you want to go buy it... well thats the general idea anyway! The new advert with the blokes all yelling 'wassssup' down the phone is brilliant. I've heard loads of people going 'wasssup' ...
...the window. The advert has done its job, hey, there was even an outake of it in Scary Movie. hat do you think of when you hear 'wasssup'. I think budweiser, the makers of the advert probably hoped this would catch no, but never realised it would be this big! You can imagine a group of lads all living together doing this type of immature thing though, i know i do stupid stuff with my mate. Brilliant advert. True. ...

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

This ad is the best of the lot, it should have the best advert of the year award!!! The most memorable thing abou the ad is the main word in the whole thing WWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTSSSSSSUUUUUUUUPPPPP!!!! some people think it is wassssuuuupppp, but really it is whats up!!! This has nothing to do with the actual drink budwieser but it is still bloody memorable and fantastic all the way through!!! I think it is bloody funny, u see these guys ...
