Buffet RC Prestige Bb Clarinet

To say I was 'languishing' on my old Buffet E11 would probably be an understatement, and a year or so ago I decided it was time to move up to a professional model clarinet. I was offered the chance to learn the clarinet at school. There only five of us chosen so I was very pleased. We had to take an aural test be picked. I then had to get a clarinet. The problem was that they were expensive to buy about £2000. Obviously my mother wouldn’t buy one as I was only learning. The shop rented them out for a three-weekly cost of £32. After starting the clarinet at school i asked for a buffet B12 clarinet for christmas. I kept this clarinet until the last year of my A levels but my clarinet teacher advised me that i needed a new one to progress further. Because of this i then started to try many different clarinets. I tried nearly every model and every make and narrowed it down to a Buffet RC and a Buffet R13. I have owned my Buffet Crampon clarinet for 7 years now and has served me very well. I started playing at school and have had the same clarinet all the time. Although I don't really play anymore I can not bring myself to sell it. I paid £800.00 for my second hand clarinet from the local music store, it came in a lockable hard box with a red velveteen insert. The recommendation of the guy in the shop was that Buffet Crampon was the best for the money I was looking to spend.
