Advantages: Pleasant enough fragrance, not too strong Disadvantages: A bit too 'soapy' for me
A neighbour recommended I try Burberry perfume - And no, it wasn't a hint that I wasn't smelling my best. It was just that I'd told him about my continuing hunt for a daytime perfume -honest!
Well, anyway, his wife loves Burberry. Everything Burberry. Perfumes, bags, clothes... she's got the lot. Lucky lady!
So when I found myself downtown today (last minute trawl of the shops to find the kids halloween outfits - it's the same last minute rush ... ...five minutes and give Burberry a go.
I hadn't realised there were so many different Burberrys though.
Burberry London - for men and women
Burberry Brit
Burberry Weekend - for men and women
Burberry Touch - for men and women
Which was a girl to choose?!
My neighbour hadn't been that specific - but then again when is a man specific? (Sorry guys!)

...you can imagine then, receiving Burberry Weekend for Women as a gift recently left me saying 'Mm, thanks' and feeling terribly ungrateful!
Wracked with guilt, I felt obliged to have a squirt before meeting up with said generous friend and to my horror, I actually liked it, a LOT!
The Packaging

I was attracted to the lovely sunny mottled yellow colour of the box. Simple white writing across the front gives it a delicate, light feel. This, ... ...the overly-familiar Burberry Nova check running along the base.
I was bought the 30 ml size and the box is roughly a 7cm cube. The bottle inside seemed somewhat small and squat, just under 6cm in diameter and the main body of the bottle about 2.5cm high. It is topped with a nice brushed silver lid which reminded me of a champagne cork in shape, nicely engraved with the Burberry horse logo on the top and with the word 'Burberry' around the edge. ...

OOOOOH I love Burberry products. I still want an original Burberry bag and not one of those crappy FAux ones of the market a real genuine Burberry bag (any donations gladly acepted! or maybe I need to get myself a richer feller!)

Packaging
I would describe the packaging for Burberry Weekend are being quite summary. The bottle comes in a pale yellow box which is decorated with the Burberry hatching. Across the front of the box Burberry Weekend in white italic writing. The bottle itself has a circular top, but obviously has a flat bottom. The bottle looks quite ... ...is silver and has the Burberry logo printed on the very top of it. The famous Burberry hatching runs around the outside of the bottle in white and Burberry Weekend is also written in white italic writing across the bottle. Price

...a silver lid with the burberry name stamped on it and a knight in shining armour racing accross the top! (Every woman's dream!)
And i would presume the compact size, although not a reduction in volume (Standard size 50ml) would fit easily into the average handbag.
The smell is fruity with just a hint of musk, yet very subtle (And it lasts all day! so the wife tells me!) By no means is it overpowering, It's a very pleasant smell,and im sure it must ... ...is that it's always the Burberry im buying!,and she now thinks it's the only brand of perfume i know!
In summary, this has a lovely scent, good staying power (I.e you dont need to keep re-applying all night!) good packaging design, excellent value for money. And is a sure fire winner for this xmas (Or just to say "sorry") When you are buying that special bottle of perfume! ...

Advantages: Lovely smell, quite cheap compared to other brands Disadvantages: Smell doesn't last as long as some others.
I first smelt Burberry Weekend while I was shopping at Bluewater in the perfume shop. I didn't buy it because I was Christmas shopping and didn't have the money spare. I never forgot the smell though and later bought in on eBay.

...fact that this box contains Burberry Weekend for women Eau De perfum spray. My performance was Oscar winning as I thanked my friend but inside I was taken aback with horror. I had come to associate only negative emotions connected to the brand perpetuated by the media as the favourite of a certain group of people to whom I wished not to belong, Yes I know my snobbish head was well and truly screwed on tight.
Still acting, I opened the box and took ... ...top engraved with the well-known Burberry equestrian knight, I prepared myself for the nasty niff I was sure that would follow.
However, the surprise was well and truly on me, for I was astonished at how very much I like…no loved the fragrance within. The warm and musky scent was fresh, delicate, light and decidedly floral. Advantages: Really Nice Smell! Disadvantages: That "name" might out some folk off!
...big fan of the over-used Burberry brand) but I had to admit when I put it on, it smelled lovely. The staying power is great, it lasts virtually all day! My favourite perfume is Angel, but I'd say this one is fast becoming on a par! My hubby prefers the smell of this one and everytime I wear it he comments on the great smell (either that or he's thinking of that flippin' sales rep!) and he doesn't do that so much with Angel.
My reckoning behind this ... ...men who comment on Burberry Weekend (must be something to do with the way the sexes prefer different smells). So, whilst out with the girls, wear Angel and whilst out on the pull or with hubby (not simultaneously unless you're very brave!!) wear Burberry Weekend. It smells fab!!!
It's fairly good value for money too and you get quite a lot in the bottle, even though the bottle is a tad dull and decorated with that hideous plaid. ...

...But over to facts. Burberry is a well-known brand, both loved and hated by many for different reasons. Some like Burberry’s scent, some don’t. About Burberry Weekend: The packaging is “eye-catching”, yellow with a white printing on it where it says: Burberry Weekend. When you open, a “small”/medium size bottle appears with a yellow-like contents. The producer of this excellent perfume say;
“A luminous fragrance of sparkling citrus and fresh green ... ...great, but when I tried Burberry Weekend in the store, I just fell in love with the scent and bought it right away.
One negative thing is when I spray it on, it smells really strong at first, but this quickly “soaks” into the skin and smells wonderful. It is difficult to describe a scent, but it’s got a floral scent, not too strong, and not to soft.
I think this perfume is perfect to use in both summertime, wintertime, day and evening.

Burberry weekend was created in 1997.
It is very soft and feminine and suitable for daytime wear.
Personally, i am not keep on this perfume, although i am a fan of Burberry (Burberry London).
This perfume has a sparkling citrus fragrance, ith fresh green scents blended with floral smells.
The problem is that too much vanilla fragrance is added to it, and that personally puts me off this perfume. It makes it smell far too sweet.
It comes in a ... ...a light lemon colour.
The fragrance will stay on for at least 6-8 hours, which is a big advantage.
You can buy a matching bath and shower gel and also a body lotion.
If you are a fan of sweet fragrances then this is the perfume for you!
If you don't like vanilla smell then you will most certainly be put off by this scent.
Price:
30 ml Eau de Toilette spray will cost you approx. 20 pounds.
200 ml Bath and shower gel will cost approx. 18 pounds. ...

...on the front with the Burberry pattern all the way round. The box is similar which is in a pale yellow colour with Burberry written on the front of it. The bottle is quite nice and stylish.
I found the smell very strong and quite overpowering which made me feel a little sick. The smell is not very feminine and in my opinion it smells a little like pineapple. The perfume is quite strong and because of this it does last a long time, which is good ...

...that's a fact but this Burberry Weekend has a charm all of it's own. If you want a light attractive feminine fragrance girls then this is the one for you! It comes in a gorgeous little glass bottle with the burberry design around the bottom and as soon as you spray it, it makes you feel like its summer and fresh as a daisy. You can get this little gem (I say little as I bought the 30ml) from all leading chemists and pharmarcies but I bought mine ... ...the walking into it thing, very Sex and the City I know but I promise you it does work.
In short girls, if you want a new fragrance for the summer and you haven't tried Burberry Weekend get it now and enjoy the compliments that keep coming with it! ...

...- rich yellow with the burberry check and the bottle is very unique i think- a bit bell shaped i suppose.
Burberry was always something everybody else had - but now i have it too.
The smell is quite rich florally with a bit of a fruity essence about it - but also has a woody tone. Sounds vile - but its not!! Its more a daytime fragrance than an evening one - bit too fruity for the evening i think.
And at the moment if you pop into Boots its only ... ...love it anyway - makes you feel all fresh and beautiful - really gives me a lift when i am wearing it - i feel gorgeous - even if i dont look it.
So for all you women who need a bit of a lift - go purchase a bottle immediately.
In fact while its on special offer buy 2 - you wont regret it - i promise! ...
