I wish I'd learn....

Advantages: Ermm, convenient, cheap
Disadvantages: Poor food, poor drinks, poor service!

...learn, don’t buy food from Burger King. I suppose the problem is that they are so convenient. I do a lot of travelling by rail and there is a Burger King at all the major railway stations I travel through, and with all the delays on the rail network I often find myself getting rather peckish waiting for my train. I find myself drawn to the convenience of Burger King, a whole meal I can take with me onto the train (should it ever arrive!) for only ...
...somewhat limits my choice at Burger King. I can choose a Veggie Whopper or, erm a Veggie Whopper! They sell a spicy beanburger,m but this isn’t strictly vegetarian as it’s cooked on the same skillet as the meat burgers. What’s the problem with that? I hear you cry, well nothing if you don’t mind meat juices all over your food. For most of you that’s not a problem, but for me, it rather puts me off, so Veggie Whopper it is (it’s ‘warmed’ in the microwave, ...

Only Third In Line To The Fast-Food Throne

Advantages: Convenient, good food (especially chips), good selection.
Disadvantages: Expensive, variable prices. Not good on small things such as packaging, straws etc.

...course referring to McDonalds, for Burger King is firmly thrashed by the greasy, overweight giant from across the Atlantic. So what is that based on? Well I suppose I’m a fan of fast food and needless to say my waistline is expanding rapidly. I concede that I usually visit McDonalds, KFC or a local chippy for my daily (oohps I meant annual) intake of cholesterol. However I visit Burger King regularly and have developed a number of opinions ...
...giants. Walking into Burger King one is immediately struck, and duly impressed, by the large selection of food on offer. The “Big King” is perhaps the most hyped attraction, but you can also purchase a “Whopper”, a “Giant Whopper”? (I don’t think its called that, but I’m having one of those rather irritating and invariably alcohol-induced memory lapses, or perhaps it is the aforementioned Big King?), ...

the King of Burgers

Advantages: flexible menu
Disadvantages: full of all the naughty stuff

...lot of other opinions on Burger King already, but I just couldn't resist having my say. As you will know if you have read my opinion on Gillette Satin Care shave gel (and if you haven't, why haven't you?) I am very hairy. And now I also have to confess that I am fat. (And how did she get herself married you ask? Well that is for another opinion at another time). The reason I am fat is because I am a sucker for fast food, especially fast food of the ...
...doing things in moderation. And Burger King is especially designed for people like me – after all they do call their number one burger a Whopper! I would hardly call that moderate. FLEXIBLITY OF MENU Yes, it is true, other fast food outlets have burgers, fries and soft drinks, they have shakes and ice-creams and uncomfortable chairs that they like to bolt to the floor just a bit too far away from the table (to accommodate the girth they are ...

YOU WOULD BE MAD TO EAT A BURGER HERE...

Advantages: Cheap Food
Disadvantages: Not as good as Mc Donalds

...for the last 20 years, Burger King is a fast food chain that has established itself here in the United Kingdom as, well as many other countries of the world. ***SO IS THE FOOD ANY GOOD?*** The food in Burger King in my opinion isn’t too bad. Basically the same rule applies ‘You get what you pay for”. A meal containing a large burger, chips and a soft drink isn’t bad for £3.50. Though there isn’t any guarantees of the ...
...always found when eating at Burger King, is that when I came out from having my meal I still feel hungry, chips are also heavily salted so that you get a larger drink and so pay more. Prices are though a little more expensive than MC Donald’s which offer a better service and better food, a downfall of Burger King. ***WHAT’S THE SERVICE LIKE?*** As I have said at the beginning of my opinion, service is although not the best . Service ...

ANOTHER UPDATE - Not So Hot

Advantages: Spacious, uses less packaging than McDonald's
Disadvantages: Food doesn't taste as nice as at McDonald's, unpleasant staff, see update at top!

...went back to the same Burger King after a long clothes buying session in the nearby shops, ready for the kids going back to school. This time, the staff were extremely rude and ignorant. Once again, they had no veggie burgers, but after much huffing and puffing and consultations with managers, decided it would probably be alright to put a bean burger in for the same price. Then, they said they couldn't take payment by cards, became fairly affronted ...
...way we're going to *that* Burger King again. P.S. We are boycotting McD's too now, after rumours of chicken fat in milkshakes and cooking veggie burgers in the same fat as the meat ones! JULY 1st UPDATE ~ We ate at the same Burger King yesterday, only to find that it wasn't half as good as last time. There appeared to be only two staff on duty on the counter, with half the place 'closed for cleaning' with no cleaning going on. There were no ...

A veggie's opinion on BK

Advantages: Choice of burgers, very nice food for veggies, Vegetarian Society approved
Disadvantages: No special offers, side orders are not veggie approved, longer wait than for non-veggie food

...their burgers. A McDonald's burger would never make me wish I wasn't a veggie, but BK does sometimes ALMOST start to tempt me (and believe me that says a lot!) Anyway, on to the vegetarian products on offer. In BK, you do get a choice. There is the Spicy Bean Burger, or the Veggie Whopper. You can also add cheese to the Veggie Whopper if you wish. The Veggie Whopper is also the only fast food product in ANY restaurant which is totally approved by ...
...I have tried the Bean Burger in the past (before I heard a rumour that they were cooked in the same oil as chicken and fish Pick 'Em Ups!) and didn't enjoy it that much. It had big lumps of kidney bean in it, and did fall apart a bit while I was eating it. Having said that, I am not a big fan of anything containing beans, and I have to be in the right mood for spicy food, so that is probably why I wasn't keen! The Veggie Whopper, however, is another ...

The King of Burger Bars

Advantages: great burgers,
Disadvantages: the staff are a bit silly sometimes and mess around with their collegues and waste your time

...has to be said that Burger King beats all the high street burger bars in my book. Their burgers are flame grilled, they are juicy and tender and they are huge in size. What more could you want from a burger. They fill them with salad and mayonaise and you can even have one made especially for you if you do not want something in them like myself. I am not keen on raw onion so I always ask them for a whopper without onion and I get a freshly made one. ...
...Another good thing about Burger King is I am always full from my meal, where as if I went to the Wimpy or McDonalds I always need an extra burger to fill me up. The reason I generally like Burger King more is their Burgers are much more filling and tasty. I am not a McDonalds fan or any other burger place fan for that matter. I am always on the look out for a Burger King if I want a burger. Although their prices are a bit more expensive, for example ...

I like BEEF

Advantages: Nice
Disadvantages: Dearer

...OK, KFC is better, but Burger King has to be the best!! Burger King, as the name probably gives away, sell burgers. McDonalds sell burgers too, but Burger King sell even more burgers! If you don't like Burgers then you have about two other options. There is the chicken flamer, which is just a burger made out of chicken rather than beef, and a vegggie burger for people who don't eat meat. Variations on this are the Bean Burger (just another veggie ...
...the beef variety are what Burger King is for! Ok, I feel guilty now. I admit I have never eaten their veggy burgers, so can't comment on their taste (I hate every veggy burger I've had so far), but the chicken meals are nice! Now, onwards to the beef!!! Burger Kings range is unsurpassed!! Taking a deep breath, we have no less than the Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, Whopper, Double Whopper, Whopper with Cheese, Double Whopper with ...

The king of burgers?

Advantages: Good food, quality
Disadvantages: Price, urban myths

...I go to somewhere like Burger King, because of the lettuce etc on burgers, it is actually healthy! Burger King is possibly the only chain restaurant where I have found the taste of products to be consistent. Every Burger King I've been in, apart from one in Scotland, has tasted the same, which I like, as I know then what I'm getting when I order it! Burger King is slightly more expensive than other similar fast food places, but in my opinion, slightly ...
...a bucket of coke! Burger King also claim that you can have the burger the way you want it - with extras as you want, or without items you don't want, and can even put reduced fat mayo in your burger instead of regular mayo. I would be slightly scared to be too picky though, you know the urban myths that surround places like these! Burger King is famous for its whopper, which consists of a flame grilled burger, tomatoes, ketchup, mayo, lettuce onions ...

Disappointed Again.

Advantages: Bigger portions.
Disadvantages: Terrible service. Dearer prices. Dirty.

...have tried to enjoy a Burger King meal, but I always seem to be disappointed. It is not that I do not like fast food, we are quite happy to use McDonalds, Kentucky, Spud-u-Like, Chinese takeaway, Fish and Chips and although we know that none of these places are going to provide Cordon Bleu cuisine, we can normally enjoy a quick meal. About once a year we are tempted back into Burger King, normally because I have started to believe the TV adverts ...
...and I do think that Burger King have ever had the whole order ready together. But do they keep the food warm until it is all ready, No! I think after a while the staff at Burger King forget that it is actually food they are serving, that people are expected to eat. The food is put onto the trays as it becomes ready and then there is the long wait until the order is complete. There also seems to be the occurrence of the disappearing staff. With half ...

Tasty burgers come at a price

Advantages: Great food, wider range of things to eat, tastier food, great desserts, good and clean surroundings
Disadvantages: Slightly higher prices, chips not as nice according to some people

...a McDonalds fan than a Burger King one in the past. Having never had any problems with McDonalds, and happy with their service, I wasn't planning on changing. However, because of all of the rumours I have heard about the kitchens and the lack of health measures at McDonalds, I thought I would try Burger King to see if I could make any comparison between the two. Having gone there with a very pessimistic attitude, I was suitably impressed. Not only ...
...I now only go to Burger King, never McDonalds or KFC. I think that the range of food is a lot better, there is more value for money, it's never as crowded, and the atmosphere is always a lot nicer. I would certainly recommend it over McDonalds, who I think offer a much smaller range of food, and, although they have better toys and better chips in the eyes of many people, particularly mine, I would still rather have a Burger King Burger anyday. If ...

DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT

Advantages: both chains have plus points, inexpensive, very popular
Disadvantages: those fries go soggy in the microwave, both have 'iffy' but cheap breakfasts

...which is best, MacDonalds or Burger King? I know much is down to personal choice and preference and also whether you are a true ‘Burger’ man/woman or like to endulge your taste buds on occasions with a ‘Salsa Chicken fillet’ or similar or maybe a ‘Chinky McRib’. This great debate will perhaps go on forever until someone like AOL/Time Warner buys them both and merges them eventually with Disney corporation which ...

(so they say), Big Mac has three pieces of bread, fills you faster, but not with meat, and is incredibly messy to eat. You can not add ketchup to the Big Mac ...

Greaseland

Advantages: Good food
Disadvantages: Dirty loos

...be much grease around in Burger King – they claim all is flame-grilled! Indeed, a great amount of grease can be scraped from the floor, but I will talk more about that aspect later on in the opinion. I went to Burger King last night with a few mates to sample the wonders of their menu. And I was certainly not let down. But really there is not much I can say on an introduction so I’d better start being serious! INITIAL THOUGHTS I always ...

There’s stuff for the vegetarian in you, for the big eater, the little eater, the sweet tooth and the ice cream lover! A whopping disappointment

Advantages: The food is good, despite the almost eerie lack of resemblance to their advertising
Disadvantages: The sort of service that causes stress-related nervous disorders

...But I don't go into Burger King anymore. I am a man of pride, you see, so when service in a restaurant (fast food or otherwise) has issues significant enough to distract you from all the wonderful merchandising, it's time to move to MacDonalds. Please don't misunderstand me, it isn't that the service was bad, it's that the service was so frighteningly abismal that I felt the need to wander around the town wearing a sandwich board proclaiming 'abandon ...
...for one second that every Burger King is this dire, what I am saying, is that if any manager could select their staff with such frightening absence of forethought, what could the food be like? What could the hygiene levels be like or even, heaven forbid, the training? I still love the food there and my job is closer to Burger King than any other fast food outlet, but I would only have myself to blame and no-one to be frustrated with if I did enter ...

Advantages: decent quality of food
Disadvantages: pricey

...food chains, namely McDonalds and Burger King. Now I'm not a fast food freak, recently I've been questioning some of the meat products I eat. Especially after tucking into some of that great "ham" made by bernard matthews with it's nice sinue included. However with set emal prices coming at a minimum standard price of around £3.50-£4.00 it's not cheap and that's always been the problem for me. As for the restaurants themsleves they generally keep a good level of hygiene on the customer side with frequent cleaning going on. As for service well it's fast food so I don't ...
