Then I played burnout 3. I had tampered around with the first burnout and, while I thought the graphics were pretty good, I wasn't really given any indication that I was playing a prequel to what would become one of the most addictive and enjoyable racing games of the next gen consoles. Not that burnout 3 is just another run of the mill racing game. You don't have to actually pass your driving test again (like the gran tourismo series), you ... ...for speed) or given any rocket launchers or flame throwers (mashed). What your are able to do is cause damage. As in GTA levels of damge. In the main bulk of the game you work your way across 3 continents (america, europe and aisa) fighting it out with cpu controlled drivers in different game modes. As a self-confessed fan of Burnout and Burnout 2, I was itching to get my hands on the third incarnation of the series; Burnout 3 - Takedown.
The hype was there; the game was being hailed as one of the best, if not THE best, arcade racer on the Xbox - but I‘ve been burnt too many times by games that don‘t live up to their marketing. Plus, Burnout 2 was a top notch game and it was hard to see how it could be improved. Sure, it could have done with ... ...brand-new, shrink wrapped copy of Burnout 3, knowing that I was either going to be blown away by a massively new game, or sorely disappointed by a repackaged product with a different number at the end.
After far more hours of playing than I care to reveal, I am pleased to say that Burnout 3 does not disappoint in any way. If Burnout 2 was a massive step forward from the original, then Burnout 3 is an Olympic hop-skip and jump away from its predecessor.

...picked up a copy of Burnout 3. It seemed the perfect solution as it had been released the same day and having briefly played Burnout 2 on the PS2 I knew it would be a pretty good game.

...type of gameplay is the Burnout World Tour. You are sent on different events, to win medals and new cars at. The different events include Races, 1 on 1 Races, Road Rage, Crash, Grand prix's and more. By winning medals here, you unlock cars sometimes, but mainly you will unlock new events.
Or, if you get bored/stuck you can try a single event. On these, you can choose what you want event to take part in, what track to use, what cars.. etc and do ... ...this game takes you, and after a while this game does become like a wipeout city, causing relentless boredom, and complete repetivity.

Ok, now this is the best part of the game. There is something called 'Crash FM'. It is a radio station with 42 different old school songs on, so you won't get the stupid looping music that you get in most other games. And, with 42 songs, there's bound to be something there that suits what you like.

...played on it. Burnout is a fast paced Action - Racing Game. In career mode you can play takedown challenges where you have to take so many cars out of the race, everytime you knock one off you get NOS! Also there are crash zone challenges, this is where you have to crash at a certain place, and depending how much damage you cause decides the medal you get. There are also races in career mode and you knock your opponents into other cars etc. and use ... ...in the race. In career mode there are lots of cars to unlock e.g pickups and sports cars.
The graphics are spectacular especially when the cars get bashed into the air. The cars are hard to handle at first but you get used to it after a while. So many different crash zones in career mode, they are the best thing in this game but so is the NOS. The races are interesting because the computer cars use there NOS wisely and efficiently. ...what can i say about burnout 3 apart form it's totally toptastic, here is a racing game not just for men but one for the ladies too. If your like me, and you like to give the old racing games ago but find them to hard or boring then this may just be the game for you. Unlike GT and Forza this is a game where it really doesn't matter if you crash, as this is a big part of the game. so when you do have a smack up there is no need to push quit and start ... ...Another nice thing about Burnout 3 is that it is suitable for most of the family and is an easy game to pick up on and not hard to play.

Having played Burnout 2 to death I was very eager to get my hands on this title.
Beware this game - Once you have played it solidly for a few days you have to re-adjust to reality. It is not a good idea to tailgate someone to gain a boost, driving on the wrong side of the road is not big or clever and crashing is not cool. In this game those are some of the things you have to do to get on.

Well what can I say about this game other than WOW!!!
I absolutely love this game, it is very addictive! Can happily play for hours! Graphics are excellent, game play is superb, it's really easy to pick up but not so easy that it is boring! You get a great progression through the game with things steadily increasing in difficulty at the right pace to challenge you but not leave you frustrated when you just cant get any further! I enjoyed it so much ... ...loved doing the crashes! Yeah get awarded for not beong able to drive!! My 7yr old nephew also loves this game! And my 25yr old husband is mad about it too & he realy can drive! In fct he's a gameaholic!! Found playing it online good fun but the EA Games server picks what Herz your screen is running on & will only let you play people on the same which can restrict the number of games available tom you! All in all GET THIS GAME ITS GREAT!!! ...

...over 40 hours playing on burnout 3s single player. The races in it are top notch allthough i am not so keen on the Crash events. I have completed the game and unlocked every car except 1. The graphics are super. Allthough I can't really comment on the Online play because I do not have Xbox live I can say that if the online play is anything like the single play it should be a blast. Single Player is alot better on Burnout 3 than it is on Burnout 2 ...

Burnout is the latest instalment of the burnout franchise and exceeds the other burnouts in everyway.
The single player mode is amazing to do because of the world tour which has over a hundred races in which will take weeks to complete them all these races include: Road rage, Lap races, Crash mode, grand prix and many more which make the game more exciting because its not the same race all the time there are different modes.
The game has multiplayer ... ...purpose for each game mode that there is.
Overall there have been a lot of changes since the second one and this has made the game better than ever and I guarantee that it will keep selling for many years as the new game burnout revenge comes out in September. ...

Burnout 3 is a racing game in which you complete a serious of challenges to complete the game.There are many various challenges that you can take part in if your not a racing fan you can take part in 'crash' challenges or 'road rage' which I absolutely adore. After completing one race you win some money depending entirely on your performance in the game you can also win medals going from bronze to gold.
You can also have profile's of your own so ...
