BURNOUT PARADISE THE ULTIMATE BOX The Burnout games have previously been a huge success with the most notably Burnout Takedown being the highlight of a series of top racing games. Burnout Paradise is available for PC, PS3 and the Xbox 360. Burnout Paradise has been changed in a lot of different...

I have always been a fan of the Burnout series, so when i was promised this HD i expected something of epic proportion, unfortunatly however i keep finding myself disappointed, no matter how much i try to love it. I have played through alot of this game, and have played alot of Burnout titles...

Excellent

Awesome racing game - massive city

Overwhelming at first

Burnout Paradise is the most recent racing (and crashing) game in quite a long series of great, well structured arcade racing games. However this one certainly breaks away from the norm and enters into this new 'open-world gameplay', and in my opinion they have certainly succeeded and have...

“Best of the Burnouts”

published 07/07/2008

Graphics, free roaming, great cars

Can get a tad monotonous

Burnout paradise is hands down the best burnout game released! No, I'm not just saying that because it's the most recent one to be released, I'm saying that because it's the truth! I feel that the series lost its way a bit and each new release was simply the same as the previous one but with...

Stunt Run game mode, No Splitscreen

Burnout Paradise is the fifth game in the series of Burnout games but this is the first game to implement free roam into the game system. Firstly, the free roam system that has been included into this game must have given the people at Criterion Games a headache and I was expecting the game to...

Slightly Repetitive, Can seem a tad long

Burnout Paradise, the latest iteration in the Burnout series lets players race, crash and generally cause road rage in the fictional streets of Paradise City, but is it any good? Burnout Paradise has a very simple structure for progress. Race, Win, Progress. This might seem like the game is very...

Good

Graphics, great sound and free roam.

Races are boring, game is generally quite boring.

The Burnout series is well known for fast paced destruction. Burnout Paradise gives you destruction, but not very good destruction. It's not terrible, it's just mediocre. It generally just consists of normal arcade racing, that I'd find in Ridge Racer, Juiced etc. So it's not unique anymore...

Great Game Overall

None

Burnout paradise is a graphically stunning game, there are 2 main types of this game the original which was released on the 5th of January 2008 and the ultimate box which was released on the 5th of February 2009. I got my burnout paradise city the ultimate box in February which cost me £29.99...

“Where is this paradise?”

Good graphics

Free roaming doesn't work well

I've always been a big fan of the burnout games. Burnout 3 had great races, cars, soundtrack and graphics and after burnout 3 came burnout 4. Burnout 4 was good with the added feature of being able to hit cars going the same way as you without crashing. So when I heard about burnout paradise I...

Quite a few challenges

The bike section is way too easy

I have this game for the xbox 360, and there are quite a few challenges included in the game. The game is set in the bacdrop of paradise city, and altogether there are around 140 challenges which include racing, running other cars (Takedown) off the road, burning routes which get you upgraded...

No cooperative gameplay.

This is a good game; the graphics are faultless and the gameplay is very exciting. You are able to fully explore an entire city at breakneck speeds taking up challenges and racing along the way. One of the things that drew me to this game is that once you enter the city there are no loading...
