Advantages: Cheap clothes, its closing down Disadvantages: Boring or outrageous designs
Yes it is hard to believe that in only 5 days C&A will missing for the British High Street (unless the closure day is extended again!). I must admit that in recent years C&A has lost its appeal. The clothes somehow seemed tired and dated the appeal that I had for it during the 80's dwindled in the 90's. That all changed last week. I attend a small village tap school and they take part in charity shows. As you can imagine, costumes take up at large ... ...I found a number of dresses reduced by 50%. The material that they are made from costs £8.00 a metre. So you can see how much is really spent on only 6 teenagers. Then there is the younger end of the school. I picked up 12 glitter skirts for £4.00 each and even squinned bob-tubes (Tops) for £6.00. I saved well over £300.00 on clothes alone. Hair bobbles tights and socks were reduced by as much as 75% too. But for me personally, there was nothing ...

Advantages: Biggest closing down sale of all Disadvantages: Leaving the UK for good
...the closure of all the C & A Stores throughout the United Kingdom iminenet there has never been a better time to hunt down a bargain than right now.
If our local store is anything to go by then there are some terrific bargains to be had. I have recently bought jumbers, socks, underware, kids coats, jackets, shirts and trousers from them all at well below half price. As the date for their departure from the UK draws ever closer I think we will find ...

Advantages: None they no longer exist Disadvantages: None they no longer exist
C & A have been on our local highstreets for years and became a british institution. However, like most retailers they found that they could no longer continue making a profit, and the company had to die and with it a part of the traditional british highstreet dies as well.
C & A offered good quality clothing at resonable prices. There was always a bargain to be found. They even managed modernise the designs for the teenages who bought dresses, ... ...pay over the odds. C & A was a family store and that is why they survived as long as they did as from babies to grandparents they had clothes to suit. The clothes were sometimes a bit odd so you did have to hunt around and be selective. Still at xmas it came in handy to get a family member a gift, and if you did not like the person there was even more to choose from.
When it was announced that they were going to cease trading the sales went up as ...

...a major department store?
C & As This store is still running for the time being, but our local store in oxford will be shutting its doors to the public in January. I expect this to co inside with the january sales, ( good for bargain hunters).
The store catered for both young and old and children also. The sizes were quite good as well. The store in oxford is clean and modern with lifts.
The quality of the goods were fair and prices affordable, ...

C&A in Reading was closing. I didn't think they would be so tacky to TRY and sell second-hand ring binders for 20p. They are really despearate. But still all the clothes were really cheap along with the checkout till for £30. Apart from that C&A is a really good store for clothes. The reason it is closing in Reading is probably that it is the other side of town from the Oracle. Where most people go to do there clothes shopping. Shame still C&A will ...
