Advantages: Lasts well. Relatively inexpensive for a perfume spray. Disadvantages: A bit too strong for some people...so apply sparingly!
...squirt actually) the spirit of Cacharel comes out! The packaging is fresh and eye-catching; the box is covered with stylised flowers and displays the ingredients and company information. The bottle is plastic, as I have previously mentioned, and the cap fits securely. When you take the cap on and off there is a reassuring popping noise; it is quite stiff, so there is no chance that you will get any unwelcome leaks in your handbag! Very useful info ... ...to the important business of the fragrance itself. When you first apply it I always think that it is going to be too strong. My recommendation is to only apply a small squirt to each wrist; don't make the mistake of putting on too much. The scent is quite rich, combining amber, musk and floral notes, making it suitable for both night and day use. I find it to be both floral and spicy; quite a complex fragrance. The ingredients include top notes of ...

Advantages: Staying power, average price Disadvantages: some find it too over powering
Why is it that throughout the year, I usually find something that I need, but when asked to write out a Christmas list, I find myself having to think long and hard?
Well, I decided to look at my perfume collection to see which ones were running low. This particular perfume has been on the market for years and yet it is still one of my personal favourites and it’s called Lou Lou, which is made by Cacharel. This perfume comes in a turquoise box, ... ...like pyramid, but hexangular design. The actual bottle is different from most, as it is not made from see through glass; it is coloured turquoise with a burgundy stripe for where the lid pulls off. Once the lid is removed it reveals the burgundy top, the spray nozzle is also the same colour. This scent comes in different sizes and is available in EDP (Eau de Parfum) and EDT (Eau De Toilette). The most popular size is the 30ml EDP, which you can purchase ...

Advantages: Good value , distinctive perfume , good packaging , different and quirky Disadvantages: May be too strong and in your face for some .
...fragrance from the house of Cacharel made by Lanco'me . It was launched in 1987 and therefore has become well established these days . I still think of it as a new fragrance but I suppose that's down to my age . It does means though that when I first bought it Lou Lou was still quite new . As such it definitely seemed of the moment then and was usually worn by younger women . Nowadays , having been around for 20 years , that's probably changed .
... ...it is a warm and rich fragrance which could never be described as subtle . It is very 'In your face' and not a perfume to be ignored or worn to blend in .
Most of the Lou Lou I have bought for myself , or as a gift for someone ,has been a small 50ml perfume spray . Despite that it does and has consistently lasted a long time . Even the smallest squirt of Lou Lou perfume will be discernible many hours later . The lingering smell , in common with ...

Advantages: lingers on the skin a fair while Disadvantages: a bit heavy
The creator jean Guichard made this heavy perfume in 1987. It is a type of floral come oriental type of scent.
This contains some of my favorite flowers, but I would not recomend this for general wear as it is rather heady. I prefer it for an evening use. The oddly shaped bottle is like a hexagon, diamond with a pointed red stopper, and the loulou was named after a heroine played by the film star louise Brooks in the 1929 film pandora's box.The designs ... ...used in this are as follows: firstly and most powerful are jasmine, orange blossom( this used at my mothers wedding a beautiful scent of its own, and later grown in her garden)mimosa, lily, iris, cassie and ylang-ylang.leading to : heliotrope, tonka, vanilla, frankincense and sandelwood.
As I have said I find this a heavy perfume so do not wear it that often, and I must admit to me being tempted to buy this as it was in a sale basket, it had no box with ...

Advantages: great value for money and excellant staying power Disadvantages: may not be to everyones liking due to strength of scent
Having purchased a bottle of LouLou a couple of weeks ago while on a tight budget and needing a new bottle of fragrance, I was pleasantly supprised at the scent considering that it only cost me £10.
Lou Lou has quite a strong fragrance in my mind which I suppose may not be to everybodies liking, but is great if you like a perfume that lasts. After one spray the scent lasted all evening, unlike certain other perfumes which have cost me four times ... ...half an hour. Because of this the bottle lasts a much longer time saving you even more money.
The scent is hard to describe, exept that it is not floral or fruity but more musky i suppose.
The main draw back to this is that the bottle and packaging of the fragrence look very plain and old fashioned in my opinion ...

Review of Cacharel Lou Lou
Advantages: lasts forever on the skin and not expensive Disadvantages: not the most up to date fragrance
This was the very first perfume i purchased with my very first pay packet - i was 17 and this was a new all the rage scent. Cacherel launched this perfume in 1987 and it was classed as a luxurious, subtle, oriental fragrance - for romantic wear.
Well luxurious it could very well be mistaken for.
Subtle - as subtle as a house brick.
Oriental - yes that it definitely is.
Romantic - it would probably choke you lover to death.
It is quite an inexpensive ... ...EDP and it does have staying power - and thats about all it has going for it.
The bottle is bit outdated - a torquoise 6 sided (thats a hexagon by the way) bottle with a burgundy stripe around the neck -quite tacky.
It is a very strong perfume - and it will last all day .
Quite spicey and woody and soapy - very difficult to give it a smell actually - it has one all of its own - i can quite honestly say that there has never been another one like ...

The first thing that strikes you about this product is the bottle. The perfume is in a small blue cut-diamond shaped bottle with red jewel stopper, the spray is in an all-blue chunky bottle. It cries out "art deco", and judging by the name, that is what it is...
Imagine the flapper girls of the 20's with their sequinned tassled dresses, long cigarette holders and pearls... That is what Lou-Lou is all about. It is a very heavy, sickly scent that ...

Advantages: inexpensive, lasts all day Disadvantages: sickly smell that lingers all day
I uncovered a bottle of Lu Lu which had been hiding in my dressing table for a while - forgotten it was there. My Mum brought it back from her holiday last year and I hadn't even opened it. I used to use it all the time but after trying some this morning I realised why I didn't wear it anymore. The smell is very sickly and dated - reminds me of the late 80's/early 90's. I guess if I'm going to use it up I'll only be wearing it at work - no good looking ...

Advantages: stays on long Disadvantages: tad strong on first whiff
I love this scent! It smells a bit strong at first whiff but it grows on you. Best spray it sparingly if you dont want people sneezing when they walk by you. I spent some time in the middle east and i noticed that most arab women used a scent similar to lou lou because they like the strong scent. It could have been all that henna on their bodies i dont really know. Lou lou is perfect for evening wear and romantic occasions. I use this scent when ...

Advantages: Inexpensive. Disadvantages: Very overpowering smell
My son bought me some of this perfume for my birthday last year as he liked the bottle, bless him.
I must admit I like the packaging but thats about it.
The perfume is very overpowering and everytime I used it I was asked " Are you wearing Lou Lou.?
All well and good but no matter how little I applied the perfume gave me a bad headache as it is very heavy.
If anyone is thinking of buying this perfume be very careful how much you apply and I would ...
