Advantages: Yummy honeycomb centre, sexual innuendo Disadvantages: Very unhealthy, TV advert
For once, Deano’s actually had a good idea. I’m not the world’s biggest chocoholic, and have no plans for a sex change in the near future either ;) but I knew straightaway what my favourite chocolate bar for his monster challenge was. There’s not much point trying to build suspense, I assume you’ve all guessed from the category that it’s Cadbury’s Crunchie. I rarely buy any sweets or chocolate myself (crisps being my real downfall), but it just so ... ...that sounds virtuous? Let me tell you all I’ve eaten so far today is a Cadbury’s fudge bar and a packet of crisps, so much for a healthy lunch now…
The Packaging
Crunchie comes in a distinctive golden wrapper, with the word Crunchie written on in big red letters, that look like they’re bouncing around a bit. It’s not overly fancy, but easy to spot on a shelf. It’s normally quite easy to open, which is good cos otherwise your chocolate would melt. ...

Advantages: Cadbury's chocolate, pleasant taste Disadvantages: Can stick in teeth, usual allergy warnings, not for dieters
As a child, I wasn't all that keen on Crunchie bars. So for years I didn't eat them - there are, after all, many other good types of chocolate available. Then I learned that they're one of my husband's favourite bars, and I also discovered that it's possible to buy them in bags of mini-bars as well as the more usual full-length Crunchie bar. So I bought a bag of the small Crunchie bars.
I tried one, thinking that if I still didn't like it, I could ... ...surprise, it was delicious! Since then, Crunchie bars have been a regular feature of our chocolate collection. • General appearance •
The ordinary Crunchie bars are packaged in golden coloured wrappings, and are about 15cm long. The mini-bars are about half that size, wrapped the same way, and then packed in orange bags which have only a purple stripe and a small logo to inform customers that they're made by Cadbury's. Probably they're familiar ...

...it as a threat. Cadbury is written on the label as the Crunchie is a part of Cadbury, and we are to.
Once we gain access to the inside of the wrapper what do we find, we find chocolate, and why do we find it, because this is a chocolate bar. It is, however, misleading as it’s only a thin layer of chocolate and just below the surface the true nature of the beast is revealed to be a golden honeycomb centre, a centre which is found at the middle of ... ...inspection, and if we are not allowed further inspections we shall shout louder until we get them, I have found that it fits right inside my mouth (sideways). I would assume that this is so I can take a bite, just one bite; I have no wish to occupy the Crunchie. Hmmm the chocolate melts in my mouth, and then I can taste the honeycomb sweetness, if the French had a word for delicious it would be chuncie. If I wanted to, and in the past I have and ...

Advantages: Cadbury redeem themselves after wannabe chocolate break instant crap Disadvantages: very sweet may be too sweet for some
Okay after that terrible Cadbury’s Instant Break Chocolate I had to get that nasty taste out of my mouth so it was time for Cadbury’s to redeem them selves and aid me in this task by way of their Crunchie bar which brings me to the sixth of my ten choccy ops.

For the life of me I don’t know why I have not picked one of these up in the last 15 years or thereabouts but as fate would have it I did indeed buy one when I purchased the other nine bars which I bought last Saturday in my local Spar shop for the price of 36 pence.

Oh this bit is interesting...
Crunchie Bars are manufactered in the UK,the honeycomb sponge toffee is made in large slabs. I'll confess to already having written ops on the bars I love most, but the challenge did include the option of expression darkest loathing. I shall take an opposing stance to the good folks who have enthused about the virtues of this bar and say 'Crunchie.....No!'
Ok, when you first get a Crunchie bar, you are presented with nice looking wrapping and a decent sized indulgence for your money. Open it up and you see what looks like some nice chocolate, ... ...Cadbury's bar, the chcolate is indeed rather nice (not fair trade yet though) - rich but not too rich, not too milky, just the right level of sweetness, just the right texture - not likely to crumble all over you, not too sticky. Ten out of ten for the chocolate.
The problem is what you get inside said chocolate. At first bite, I find myself thinking 'its not as bad as I remember' - the sweet yellowy honeycomb seems pleasant enough. A bit hard perhaps. ...

There seem to have been loads of chocolate reviews in the last few weeks. I have found it really frustrating as I am on a very long term special diet and can't eat chocolate any more!
However, as a sort of palliative, I have decided to write an opinion on my lifelong favourite, Cadbury's Crunchie. It is very hard to bite into, but it is well worth it. Inside the thin layer of delicious Cadbury's chocolate is a wonderful, rock hard honeycomb centre, full of bubbles. Crunchie has been around for a long time now. It was launched in 1929 by Fry's,(of Turkish Delight fame).

Crunchie is one of those chocolate bars that I associate fondly with my childhood yet still eat a lot now. It has been around for a very long time, since 1929 when it was first introduced to the market by J.S Fry & Son's (though it is now owned by Cadbury's). When you open the packet there is definitely a distinctive smell to it - almost a sweet caramel flavour mingled ...

Cadburys Crunchie bar is wrapped in a golden shiny foil wrapper with the words 'Crunchie' accross the front in big bubble writing in a bright red colour. The honeycombe is covered in smooth cadburys milk chocolate which you can also slightly smell. I think the smell of the honeycombe is much more over powering.
