Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
MissTopaz
Advantages: Tastes great, only 40 calories
Disadvantages: None
Hey Ciao! Apologies for the absence, back I said I'd be back! Spot the theme of upcoming reviews- things that are in my room in my halls at uni!!
So, the nights are drawing in, it's getting darker earlier, you can really start to feel the chill in the air, and even poor students need something to warm them up, and give a little feel of home. Though I actually managed to lose weight in my first couple of weeks of term as a fresher, so I wanted a ...

HOT AND STEAMY HOW I LIKE IT
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
Deni
Advantages: Only 40 calories a mug tastes wonderful
Disadvantages: none
In recent months I seem to have put on a few extra pounds in weight and have now decided to act, before it gets any worse. I happened to see an advert in my local paper for a new store that has opened up in my area, which is what I call a knick-knack sort of shop, where you can buy all sorts of bits and bobs, at great prices. It’s called Scooby Do’s; don’t ask me why as I have no idea. Lol.
Anyway I set off to check it out and ...

jlearner
Advantages: very chocolatey, under 40 calories
Disadvantages: a bit muddy at the bottom
...spotted a new flavour of Cadburys High Lights hot chocolate: Dark Chocolate, and as I love dark chocolate I thought I'd give it a go, especially as it only cost me 37p, good value I'd say.

This comes in the standard twin-sachet packaging, 22g. The predominant colour is red with High Lights picked out in white and a dark brown and gold swirl around what looks like the froth on a cup of hot chocolate and the words Dark Chocolate in goold. ...

Not the Highlight of my day
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
MurkyDismal
Advantages: Cheap quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Too sweet
I have never liked Hot Chocolate, I much prefer coffee. Every so often though, I get the urge to try a different variety that catches my eye. Lately I have been buying Cadbury’s Highlights from the tea trolley. I actually quite like it, it’s tasty and makes a nice change from Coffee. It only contains 40 calories per cut, which can’t be a bad thing.
Last night in Tesco’s I was wandering and I saw the shelf that contained ...

Lead Me Not Into Temptation
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
michaird
Advantages: Creamy and frothy
Disadvantages: Occasionaly too sweet, crys our for dunking biccys
There’s a drinks machine in my office, at the top of the corridor. It dispenses the usual nasty brown mess to us ‘office wallahs’ (as my other half calls us) rancid dish water tea, water that so cold it chills your soul, rank coffee that every one drinks anyway and the creamiest, frothiest hot chocolate you ever tried.
It’s addictive this hot chocolate, it comes it small plastic cups that are never enough to satisfy and at 70 calories for each ...

The best way to drink the best hot choc
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
penpusher
Advantages: It is low calorie and it tastes great
Disadvantages: it's not that cheap
I love Cadbury's Highlights, I discovered them many years ago when I was at college and have been an addict ever since. They are only 40 calories a cup, but there is no loss of quality or taste inflicted by the low calorie aspect, which is great because, let's face it drinking some low calorie drinks is like quaffing a cup of swamp mud.
Taste
they are very sweet, but not overpoweringly so and they are indeed very chocolately, and it's a real kind ...

CUP HANDS HERE COMES DABMIMS REVIEW
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
dabmim
Advantages: low fat, low sugar, great tasting
Disadvantages: see review
...tea is wanted is – Cadburys Highlights drinking chocolate.
As someone who is on a low sugar diet I am constantly watching for new products that are low in sugars or reduced sugar or even sugar free and as importantly low in fat.
I know Cadbury’s highlights have been around for a while now, but I have never thought of them as ‘low sugar’ friendly, after all the taste of the drink induces the idea by its sweetness.
Cadbury’s High lights drinking ...

Mr Cadbury, You've Let Yourself Down.
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
Mattroberts
Advantages: No muck at the end, as it's instant, and its low in calories for you dieters out there!
Disadvantages: Where do i start? The taste, the smell, ewww, everything!
I was shocked and amazed to see that this had, had so many high ratings. Well, I’m here to spit on Mr Cadbury! To get him down from his throne, and kick him while he’s down! Well, actually I’m writing a review on his AWFUL hot chocolate, on a site, which he’ll probably never see, so in a way, it doesn’t really harm you Lord Cadbury!
Firstly, I want to say I usually love Mr Cadbury’ things – with a capital ...

caffe latte high lights
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
tarara
Advantages: Low in calories, it's chocolate!
Disadvantages: can taste a bit watery
...the Caffe Latte variety of Cadburys high lights hot choc.
I have a jar of this but it can also be bought in twin pack sachets and in the variety pack.
The jar is sort of hourglassish shaped, supposed make you think that by drinking this you can be that shape too I guess. It is a plastic jar with the "cadbury purple" lid the purple continues down onto the jar and the familiar Cadbury logo sits in it. Under this it says High Lights in large white ...

Great for beating sweet cravings!
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
krazeekate2000
Advantages: Chocolatey, sweet and smooth and yummy!
Disadvantages: Artificial sweetener and hydrodgenated veg oil
...item bacause I wanted the Cadburys chocolate taste and product, with as few calories as possible! I usually buy Options hot-chocolate, but my local Co-Op only had the Outrageous Orange flavour, and I wanted a change.
This product is sold in twin-pack sachets, or in a large jar, but I prefer making my drinks from sachets, as the amount in a portion is perfect :o)
When I carefully separated the sachets and ripped off the top, a lovely choccy aroma ...

Can't beat the real thing
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
roman111
Advantages: Quick and Easy
Disadvantages: Has a fake taste
As a confessed "chocoholic" I have usually got a tub of Cadbury's Drinking Chocolate in my food cupboard, but as I am also a continuous "weight-watcher" I also keep a jar of Cadbury's Highlights beside it!
Now, I am a person who always prefers the real thing, and like to buy brand named quality goods. I pride myself in being something of a connoisseur where chocolate is concerned - after all, I have had a lot of practice at eating and drinking ...

You take the high road and I'll take the low road
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
werewolf
Advantages: low calorie
Disadvantages: difficult to dissolve - see tip at bottom of review
Cadbury Highlights Toffee flavour is a hot chocolate drink, which is only 40 calories and claims to have less than 1% fat. I enjoy hot chocolate drinks and am trying to lose weight so this seemed ideal, particularly as there are a variety of flavours. The sachet states that "Cadbury Highlights are a range of instant hot chocolate drinks that are "High" in taste and "Light" in calories", hence the name.
Originally, each sachet had a suggestion ...

Chocolate in a mug
Review of Cadburys High Lights Hot Chocolate by
pink_champagne
Advantages: cheap, low calories
Disadvantages: taste isn't all that good compared to other brands
...think galaxy chocolate rather than cadburys colour wise. Their is usually a nice froth on the top of the mug.
What does it taste like?
It's alright. It's drinkable, but really that is about the best I can say. The chocolate taste is there, but it isn't very strong, and i think i'd rather stick to Netto's own make. It tasted quite watery, whereas i prefer a milky, chocolatey taste.
Nutrition
1.4g of fat and 40 calories per mug.
