...makes chocolate as good as Cadbury does.
I don’t often buy cakes as I prefer to make them, or should I say I shouldn’t really eat them too often, but do enjoy making them! I saw an offer in Tesco the other week which tempted me to buy Cadbury Mini rolls. Of course I knew I had an excuse to eat them so I could review this little parcel of sweetness!
Cadbury Mini Rolls are quite noticeable on the shelf in the shops as they have the purple colour ... ...a picture of the mini roll cut open on the front. My packet has a bright yellow band saying 10 for the price of 6 mini rolls – the reason for me buying them! The packet contains 10 individually wrapped mini rolls, making them good to pop into packed lunch boxes, and hygienic too if you have children (or elderly relatives!) who touch everything on the plate before deciding which to eat!
What are they like?
The roll is wrapped in a thin wrapper and ...

They are available in multi-packs of six or ten bars which will cost you around £1.09 or £1.89 respectively. Being a bit of a skinflint I paid just 30p for my pack of six bars as they were reduced due to being within a couple of weeks of their use by day. I didn't see this as a problem as with most Chocolate products that I buy I fully intended on consuming them on the day of purchase anyway.

CONCLUSION
It had been quite some time since I last tried these but they have now re-established themselves as a firm favourite amongst my list of treats. I have a lot of fond memories of these as a child and they always remind me of Children's parties. Hopefully I will have plenty of adult memories too.
Thank you for reading. ...

Advantages: Great party food Disadvantages: Chocolate is too crumbly
What a wondrous invention Cadbury mini rolls are. Ones cupboard should never be without these waiting to be opened. They are great as they are just the right size to fit into lunchboxes, great to liven up any plate to hand round to guests who come round for a cuppa and are very good as the ideal party snack that sits pretty on the table or just a plain old hunger filler.

The rolls themselves are round with a flat bottom, I suppose designed to stand on party plates and the cake has been rolled and filled with filling hence its name. The sponge is your typical plain sponge and is of very good quality ie does not taste of cardboard unlike some and the strawberry jam works well with it, the creamy vanilla is a bit like the cream you get in walnut whipps which is one ...

Advantages: delicious and chocolatey Disadvantages: the children keep eating them!
Even though supposedly I’m grown up, there are times when I feel like a little kid again (quite a lot of times really!). And none more so than when I’m eating a Mini Roll.
I don’t know why really, I can’t remember eating them as a child, but when I sink my teeth into the crisp chocolate coating and then through into the soft chocolate sponge underneath I feel about 6 again! Maybe it’s because I usually buy these for ... ...But anyway, back to the beginning. Cadburys Mini Rolls are available in boxes of 6 or 10. The boxes have a purple foil covering with the famous Cadburys logo emblazoned on it. All the usual information is on there – nutritional, ingredients, addresses and so on. But more of those later.
Open your box and you will find a cardboard tray containing the individually wrapped Mini Rolls. (If you buy a box of 10 there are two layers of five rolls, ...

Cadbury Minirolls are something you probably love or hate. Me, I love them. And while I've managed for a number of years to bypass them on Safeway's shelves, thinking "well, they're a bit pricey considering how long they'll last", Costco have now started to stock them. And now I can get 2 x 10 packs for £2.49.

These are made with Cadbury chocolate for a start, so you know that the chocolate will taste nice. It can be a bit "sickly" after several though. The "individual swiss rolls with vanilla flavouring" are also very light in consistency. You know how some swiss rolls can be quite firm and chewy? These are very light, and do at least taste of chocolate. Cadbury's Minirolls are individually wrapped, so if you do resist temptation and put the packet ...

...associated with Cadbury. But then Cadbury have gone for in the kill, they have added a banana yellow flash to the top right corner of the packet and in bold red lettering the two words `Special Edition` stand out like a belisha beacon.
The words `mini rolls` takes on a subtle difference too, it looks like someone has taken a piping bag and squeezed the two words out as stylishly as they could manage but they have still managed to keep the flow of ... ...chocolate `horn of plenty`
Cadbury cannot place enough emphasis on the amount of milk chocolate that is harboured inside of the flimsy packet.
So we move on swiftly and open the outer plastic wrapper to find six newly born double chocolate mini rolls all individually encased in a heat sealed plastic wrapper. It is at this point in time that my thoughts lay with the local council recycling collectors ! Does everything have to be wrapped in duplicate??!

I got up this morning, walked into the college porters' lodge to check my pigeonhole for any new mail, and found a big white cardboard box. On opening it up, I noticed lots of purple foil, and a letter telling me I'd won a month's supply of Cadbury's Mini Rolls! Cadburys mini rolls are sweet. And I mean really sweet. On top of being coated in the nation's favorite chocolate (dairy milk) the roll of fluffy cake has swirly crème vanilla running through it. As much as it claims to be vanilla, it looks, feels and tastes more like icing sugar- giving the roll that oh so sweet sensation you'll either love or hate.
