...utterly nailed the metamorphosis of Call of Duty. Playing as a U.S. Marine and staggering from the flaming ruins of a downed chopper, I fell and breathed my last toxic breaths surveying a scene of desolate post-nuclear destruction. This interlude was entirely for dramatic effect, you see, and on its own would have been a pretty awesome moment for any FPS. Yet it was something else which made this a uniquely refreshing inclusion for a game in the ... ...Allied war heroes of yesteryear, Call of Duty expertly exploits its modern-day licence to portray war the way it should be: ugly, visceral, and at times morally ambiguous. Playing the split role of S.A.S. soldier and U.S. Marine, with a bit of Russian Spetsnaz thrown in to remind us that we're all supposed to be friends now, you're whisked around the world playing a mix of stealthy infiltration and balls out yee-hawing against a nuclear enabled Russian ...

...mentioned before I really enjoyed Call of Duty 3 and I wasn't too sure how they could improve this series, especially the on-line play. I felt that another game could push the series a bit thin a bit like some sequels to films.

...much to do with the Call of Duty series. I own Call of Duty 2 for X - Box but wasn't really that impressed to be honest with you. Compared to Brothers in Arms and Medal of Honour I found Call of Duty 2 to be far to easy and although the concept of following the 1st Division through the war was interesting I found there was far to little story line. Essentially a standard FPS, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare stands high above the rest, carving a new path in the oh-so-typical and familiar world of war games.
The Call of Duty franchise has been going now since the original game was created in the fall of 2003, and has since released a steady stream of games (each of terrific quality) into the public domain. ...That's outdated now. Look to Call of Duty 4.
But first, let's go into the single player mode.
The single player story mode pits you as Private Soap McTavish to start off with. He is a new recruit with the British SAS. You got to do a training session for the first part of the story mode. Very unusual for Call of Duty to depart from World War II, but this is a good thing because I found the previous games of Call of Duty started to get boring and thanks to Infinity Ward taking the reigns of Call of Duty 4, they should damn keep the rights instead of splitting the rights with Treyarch. Want to know why I say this? Because Treyarch are doing Call of Duty 5 and it's going back to World War II.

This was one of my first Xbox 360 games and I think I have played it more than all my other games collectively. It was also the first COD game that I have bought and the story made perfect sense nonetheless, so this would be the perfect game to get you started. Sound-wise it performed perfectly - there is something very enjoyable about the sound of your gun letting loose especially the AK47, or maybe that ...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the 4th in the series of Call of Duty games; however it is the first to have a storyline in a period that is not World War 2. For many this gave the impression at first that the developers had run out of ideas for World War 2 games, and perhaps that this game would be a letdown following the previous games' success. However this definitely wasn't the case, as this game is one of the biggest success stories in the ... ...today the lifespan of the Call of Duty 4 multiplayer mode is extremely long. There are also various challenges for players to aim for too, which include getting 100-150 kills with different people and getting killing streaks of various lengths. Overall, Call Of Duty 4 is definately one of the greatest games to come out on the 360 to date. It's a must-buy for any action-game lovers and will not be beaten by any other games any time soon. ...modifiers that allow you to call in additional help depending upon how you do. this is cool as you can call in UAV for radar (3 kills in a row without dying), air support by plane (5 kills in a row), helicopter support (7 kills in a row). In a fairly even match this is really good fun. However if the teams are uneven in capability, then they can really crush you which can lead to a very unsatisfactory game. Don't forget you can call in all 3 supports ... ...don't need to save them. They also can be used in your next respawn after you die so use the air support in conjuction with a friends UAV radar support for accurate and maximum kills. Team selection once you've joined a match is mostly random but it does try to even the teams out by spreading members at a high level over each team. If you are a member of a clan, you should party up before hand so that you are all in the same team. You can add any ...

Now it takes place in modern societies, not it involves running around the middle east, Russia dealing with all these nuclear disaster fees really high stake stuff, really powerful but short single player campaign backed up with some intense multi player action.
When i say single player action is short, ... ...Like some of the other Call of Duty games the game play in Call of Duty 4 is all about aiming, you have a button designated to holding the gun up to your face and looking threw the scope or looking down the sights, that's how you get the most accurate shots you can also crouch which is handy for staying out of sight, you can shoot from the hip but its really more less accurate.
