Call Of Duty 4... One of the best games ever.

Advantages: Lasts a long time, easy to get the hang of, very enjoyable, great graphics and sound
Disadvantages: Needs a good PC to play.

I got Call Of Duty 4 On the day it was released in the United Kingdom - And I have to say I have loved it since then. I play computer games quite abit, having racked up more than 600+ hours Of call of duty 2 on the PC. No game has ever caught my attention for longer than a month, except call of duty 2. So, I hoped that Call Of Duty 4 would live up to its relative, CoD2. To my delight, I loved Call of Duty 4 far more than Call Of Duty 2, and have ...
...Playability and Enjoyment == Call of Duty 4 is mostly played on Multiplayer, So if you have a good internet connection - Great! Call Of Duty 4 is perfect for you if you like a good old Shoot 'Em up! But If you plan to play singleplayer, dont expect to be playing it as much as them crazy gamers. The game is very enjoyable, and it feels great when you pull a headshot, or do something crazy, but on the other hand, try to keep a fair head because it ...

...and immersive franchise off the Call of Duty production line, Activision can be proud to acknowledge Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as their best game title to date. A prerequisite for buying any new PC game these days would be to make sure you know the system requirements beforehand to avoid any operational disappointments: '''Minimum:''' Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM) 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or ...
...After the last few Call of Duty's, the decision to stray away from depicting the conflicts of WWII, assists in refreshing the FPS genre. With the world in conflict as a result of both the Ultranationalist threat brewing in Russia, and the pro-extremist coup in Saudi Arabia, it is up to the SAS of Britain and the United States Marine Corps to eradicate the imminent threat of full scale nuclear warfare. You will ultimately take control of a number ...

...admit my addition now. Call of Duty(COD) have been butted up against the Medal of Honour series for years on PC and consoles. The latest incarnation takes you away from WW2 into Modern Day soldiering. I have not completed the game to date, but have a number of hours gameplay on the PC game. I will "not" post spoilers. My machine is just about able to hold up on the specifications needed to play the game (listed at foot of review) although the graphics ...

If you are a MoH or CoD veteran, you need know nothing more than you already do. Screen layout is standard. Your overlays for ammo, compass and objective callouts are there. Hit indicators are still in use, so when you are getting damaged, the red indicator will give you a fighting(sic) chance of understanding ...

...that I looked forward to Call of Duty 4 (COD4). I had owned COD 1 and COD2 on the pPlaystation 2 and found that they were great games, this though is easily better than both of them and apparently the same is true of COD3 though I have never played it. The single player mode is very challenging and you have four difficulty modes to choose from. The game breaks you in well with a training mission to get you orientated to the controls and feel of ...

The SAS missions in volve fighting against Russian Ultra Nationalists whilst the Marines combat Arabs (in an unnamed country, which by the map looks like Saudi Arabia). On the whole the SAS missions involve being in a smaller team meaning the gameplay relies more upon calling in air strikes and/or sneaking around. Whilst the Marine ...

Kill cam the Kill cam is awesome, just when you think, "What? who killed me??!!" you get a video replay of just who did and how. Its quite funny, or not. The game is fast paced and hectic but fun nonetheless. I wouldnt say it would replace battlefield, but the unlocks are cool and "create-a-class" is neat. Thats where you can choose ...

Advantages: Epic singleplayer campaign, Immense mulitplayer - large community welcoming new players
Disadvantages: Frustrating if you're at the lower end of the spectrum as balance can seem tipped others

...unmatched moral questionning of gameplay. Call of Duty Modern Warfare blows out the stops on virtually every aspect of its genre. The graphics are absolutely top notch with stunningly rendered weapon models and gritty urban environments that are often being showered with raining debris and littered with fallen comrades. Call Of Duty 4: Brilliantly Addictive.

Advantages: Both the single and multiplayer modes will leave you glued to your seat
Disadvantages: Singleplayer is a little short and some may find the storyline hard to follow

Call Of duty 4 Modern warfare is the pinnacle of all of it's predecessors. The new-age combat shines a light on the COD series without going over the top. It's realism is outstanding and with a large enough screen and decent sound system, you will really feel part of the combat. However, do not worry if you don't have the greatest of computers- the game is rendered beautiful, even on low grade hardware The singleplayer, yet lacking in length is still ...
...of soldiers, seeing the conflict from their point of view, which while not original, is used remarkably well in this game. The levels are fast paced and full of chaos, even the quiet time you spend as a sniper will leave your blood pressure up at times. Some consider the singleplayer mode extremely easy, I agree to some extent. The difficulty can be set by the user and when you have had 1 go as a "recruit," the game has that lure to attempt it once ...

Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare (PC)

Advantages: Very realistic, a dazzling new array of weapons and an excellent selction of new terrains.
Disadvantages: The singleplayer side of the game may seem a little boring at times.

If you enjoyed the previous Call of Duty games then you will definitely find yourself attached to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Far from the old fashioned towns, weapons and vehicles of WWll featured in the prequels to it, this game contains a whole new array of modern equipment, from the weapons right down to the boots you'll be wearing as you battle your way across various terrains, looking out for your team-mates. Not a single detail has been ...

You will be able to use weapons such as the barret .50 cal, M14, etc. The game has two parts to it: Singleplayer- This side of the game has somehow managed to incorporate real warfare with gameplay, making it a colossal experience. You may be sent on an under-cover mission as a sniper, or to rescue ...

...Counter Strike and moving into Call of Duty 4 was easy and painless. Single player The single player is extremely good and one of the best I have played in terms of entertainment for a long time. The developers' haven't just forgotten about it. ...

CoD4 review

Advantages: Graphics, sound, storyline
Disadvantages: To good!

Call of Doty 4: Modern Warfare is a very intence and enjoyable, as you can play for meny hours on end, with your face getting closer and closer to the screen every time you turn a corner. CoD4 can be played as a single player, or multi-player game, with online servers hoasting differant game types, like deathmatch and capture the flag. The high-end graphics system on the game is unfaulted, your can clearly see the faces of enemies 200m away! CoD4 ...

The game bases on meny countries in the middle-east that coincide wih these problems, and while playing you can imagine yourself there, with the outstanding amount of violance and destruction going on around you. I reccomend this game to all gamers, that enjoy a warefare first person shooter. I give this game 10/10 ...

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Review

Advantages: Realistic, tense, addictive
Disadvantages: The violence may be too much for some

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare takes a step forward from the other COD games by setting itself in the present day, but don't think it's any less amazing to play than it's predecessors. You play 3 distinct characters in separate, but interwoven, campaigns; "Soap" McTavish of the SAS, Sgt Paul Jackson of the US Marine Corps and eventually Lt Price of the SAS in a series of missions. The graphics here are absolutely superb, with an amazing level of ...
...you, with the enemies so close you can almost see the whites of their eyes. The gameplay is very tense and exactly what you would expect in a game of this caliber (no pun intended). All in all I strongly recommend Call Of Duty 4 as an excellent gaming experience. ...

9 months of play and i still love it

Advantages: endless fun
Disadvantages: some missions are too hard on higher difficulties

...like the rest of the call of duty games, single player gameplay is great. Fight as US Marines or British Special Ops against "international separatists". There are about 22 different weapons which can be found in the game at certain stages. Each of these weapons are quite cool to play about with (more in multiplayer). Single-player missions are great fun, a mixture of storming buildings, taking out tanks, clearing alleyways, sniper assasinations, ...

Game difficulty will have a severe effect on the length of each level. I'm still yet to have completed the sniper level on the hardest level. Multiplayer: I still havent stopped playing it even having completed ranks i'm merely trying to unlock all aspects of the game. And to think i bought this game the day ...
