Advantages: Lasts a long time, easy to get the hang of, very enjoyable, great graphics and sound Disadvantages: Needs a good PC to play.
I got Call Of Duty 4 On the day it was released in the United Kingdom - And I have to say I have loved it since then.
I play computer games quite abit, having racked up more than 600+ hours Of call of duty 2 on the PC. No game has ever caught my attention for longer than a month, except call of duty 2. So, I hoped that Call Of Duty 4 would live up to its relative, CoD2.
To my delight, I loved Call of Duty 4 far more than Call Of Duty 2, and have ...

Advantages: Graphically challenging the genre in places. Storyline is well constructed. Disadvantages: Single player mode will only last 6 hours or more, depending on your ability.
...admit my addition now. Call of Duty(COD) have been butted up against the Medal of Honour series for years on PC and consoles. The latest incarnation takes you away from WW2 into Modern Day soldiering. I have not completed the game to date, but have a number of hours gameplay on the PC game. I will "not" post spoilers.
My machine is just about able to hold up on the specifications needed to play the game (listed at foot of review) although the graphics ...

...that I looked forward to Call of Duty 4 (COD4). I had owned COD 1 and COD2 on the pPlaystation 2 and found that they were great games, this though is easily better than both of them and apparently the same is true of COD3 though I have never played it.
The single player mode is very challenging and you have four difficulty modes to choose from. The game breaks you in well with a training mission to get you orientated to the controls and feel of ...

...out this year. Ive played Call of Duty 2 and there is much improvement since that. Call of Duty 3 i didnt not get to play as it did not come out for PC.
This game was stunning from the start there was not a moment when i was disapointed with the game. It starts off with a training mode this will help you decide what difficulty is recomended for you. The first mission was just amazing it was on a tanker and it was raining heavily and you get dropped ...

Advantages: Very realistic, a dazzling new array of weapons and an excellent selction of new terrains. Disadvantages: The singleplayer side of the game may seem a little boring at times.
If you enjoyed the previous Call of Duty games then you will definitely find yourself attached to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Far from the old fashioned towns, weapons and vehicles of WWll featured in the prequels to it, this game contains a whole new array of modern equipment, from the weapons right down to the boots you'll be wearing as you battle your way across various terrains, looking out for your team-mates. Not a single detail has been ...

Advantages: good singleplayer, awesome multiplayer, good graphics Disadvantages: singleplayer very short, need a hefty pc you enjoy it in all its glory
...Counter Strike and moving into Call of Duty 4 was easy and painless.
Single player
The single player is extremely good and one of the best I have played in terms of entertainment for a long time. It is split into chapters with each chapter having parts. You play from the viewpoint of different soldiers' which provides you with plenty of new environments. However there is one flaw that dents the single player considerably. It is short; I easily ...

Advantages: endless fun Disadvantages: some missions are too hard on higher difficulties
...like the rest of the call of duty games, single player gameplay is great. Fight as US Marines or British Special Ops against "international separatists".
There are about 22 different weapons which can be found in the game at certain stages. Each of these weapons are quite cool to play about with (more in multiplayer).
Single-player missions are great fun, a mixture of storming buildings, taking out tanks, clearing alleyways, sniper assasinations, ...

...on certian missions you can call in helicopter support.
I could go on for a long time talking about the graphics but I'll try and keep it brief. For a game that is now a year old they are still some of the best on the market. Very realistic, especially if you have a high-end gaming machine.
The gameplay will keep you interested for a long time. Personally I have completed the single player around 6-7 times on varying difficulties, and it's still ...

Advantages: If you love the CoD games, heres another one for you to play. Disadvantages: Just like the other CoD games, many little issues (considering its a modern game)
While in production, Call of Duty 4 looked very impressive! I have played this game enough to realise now, that it harbours many tacky little features that pretty much prevent me from enjoying it!
I'm not saying that Call of Duty 4 is a bad game at all, its just isn't next generation and doesn't offer any new technological features to the gaming industry.
Here are a few of the irritating things I have noticed in CoD4:
On the harder settings, ...

Call of Duty 4 (PC) Review by SondarPwnage
An absolute favourite of mine, Call of Duty 4 has it all:
Good graphics
Great story
Fantastic setting
Great multiplayer
Good Customization on Multiplayer
In the Single player campaign you fight as a US Marine and a British SAS trooper. You are able to fight in Russia and in the desert towns of a un named country where the US campaign is set. Still the campaign runs to a short but incredibly satisfying ...

Advantages: Excellent plotline, addictive gameplay, arcade mode. Disadvantages: Not very long
After worrying about whether or not my computer would actually run this game, i decided to bite the bullet and go for it. It cost me £35 from Game, and has arguably been the best £35 quid i've spent recently. In the game, you fight for to factions, the U.S marines, and the S.A.S, as U.S Seargent Paul Jackson, or as 'Soap' McTavish. This game is fairly similar to the previous CoD games, except you have proper weapons that kill people, and the Nazis ...

this is one of the best games to play. the COD graphics engine keeps getting better and better. its also good because with a minimum requirements you can get more high quality graphics unlike Crysis. the story line behind the game is attractive. various roles to play including, snipers, tank troopers, aircraft gunner and soldier.

...all three of the previous Call of Duty games dealt with WWII. The weapons in the game are numerous and it will honestly take you a couple weeks deciding which one is your favorite. There are like three or four rifles that have red dot sights to give you a realistic feeling like you are actually in battle. You will especially know what I am talking about when an RPG goes flying past your face. The gameplay is intense with very open campaign maps and ...
