    First review in quite a while so be gentle! I thought I would make my ciao comeback on what is probably my favourite Xbox title & I dare say a good majority of my fellow gamers choice too.     When I was considering buying MW3, I couldn’t find a single review that didn’t compare it to the older Call of Duties. So I thought I’d write a review like that – being someone who had never played CoD prior to purchasing MW3, I’m going to write this without comparing it to MW2, and without the old “it’s nothing new” argument. While that does influence the opinion of most COD veterans, I don't believe it proves useful to those who may be looking to purchase this as their first in the series.     Now, I have been a fan of the Call of Duty series ever since Modern Warfare (Call of Duty 4). It took a lot to transform me from the Medal of Honour series but I really enjoy Call of Duty in general. Modern Warfare 3 had a lot to live up to for me as I preferred the Modern Warfare games to the World at War and Black ops versions.     Now, I am not a huge gamer, but when it comes to playing Call Of Duty, I really enjoy it and have been hooked on most of the previous games in the series, especially the Modern Warfares! I was told a couple of months ago that there was to be a third game released in the Modern Warfare lined, aptly called Modern Warfare 3, and I was actually quite excited to hear that.     First Impressions Well at first glance the box is slightly plain but on closer inspection tells a story of the campaign. the campaign i felt was also a let down along with the general graphics of the game.     Activision and Infinity Ward didn't think having two identical games was good enough, so why not shake the story up a bit, add a few perks and weapons and slap a "3" on the end of "Modern Warfare" and call it a 'new game'? Don't get me wrong, the game is by no means bad, I just struggle to see how it differs from the other two Modern Warfare games. No Difference?     This is a very good game. In my opinion, the campaign is ok. The story line is good, but it does not compare to previous call of duty campaigns. The co-op missions were not nearly as good as mw2. The multiplayer however, is amazing. Luckily it gets away from the purchasing of guns that you had to do in Black ops. The only downside is the spawning. You will probably end up spawning right next to the enemy at least half of the time. Other than that its great. Unlike the other COD games in which if a gun was in the same category it was basically the same as all the others in that category. MW3 ... more
