Band of blood brothers...
Review of Call of Duty (PC) by littlemissdrunk

Advantages: Mindblowing action from beginning to end
Disadvantages: Lacks a little on replay value

...CoD. And in a way, Call of Duty feels very much like its next evolutionary step. While in summary, the games sound very much alike, in experience CoD has raised the bar tenfold. The first most noticeable thing that makes CoD really stand out from the crowd is the fact that you're playing alongside a squad of computer-controlled allies. For once, you're not completely in control of the action and pace of the game, as you have a commanding officer ... Read review

Call Of Duty
Review of Call of Duty (PC) by Cwash

Advantages: Multiplayer
Disadvantages: Gets repetitive, short

Introduction Call of Duty (CoD) is not exactly a new concept in first person shooters as you can see by walking into any local game shop there are plenty of World War II based games including Medal of Honour: Allied Assault (MoHAA) and Battlefield 1942 (BF 1942). However it is definitely not one to overlook. It was developed by Infinity Ward, a newly formed studio which includes a variety of individuals who developed MoHAA. Michael Schiffer ... Read review

...to the WWII offering of Call of Duty. From the start of the indulging single player campaign, your thrown into action, in the middle of a fierce conflict, battling through streets, taking down enemy anti aircraft guns, while avoiding the bullets that come racing past you head!. There are many other mission objectives throughout the game, including holding a key bridge (as seen in the film " Saving Private Ryan")!! Also you get to charge through ... Read review

Quick march, soldier!
Review of Call of Duty (PC) by Kyz22

Advantages: fun online multiplayer, great graphics
Disadvantages: too addictive

The distant echo of gunfire in the background and the nerve-wrecking hum of an enemy bomber coming over the horizon. Beads of sweat begin to gather on your forehead and then all at once you burst out of the trench and sprint over enemy lines with your rifle spraying bullets. Your comrades are running with you but all you turn to see your best friend get shot in the head by an enemy bullet. Tears roll down your face and you hold your head in your hands ... Read review

Does Medal of Honour have a real competitor?
Review of Call of Duty (PC) by r3d3vil

Advantages: Top graphics, attention to detail, historical accuracy
Disadvantages: Slightly on the short side with not too much replay value

...and irrating shooting car missions, Call of Duty has fixed it (mostly). This game is made by the team who in another life made Medal of Honour: frontline. They've taken the concept further, you are not one man alone on the battlefield taking on the third reich single handed. You're part of a squad, go in on your own and they'll cut you to shreds. You have to out flank them, give supporting fire, snipe while your team mates run from cover to cover. ... Read review

...is no film, this is Call of Duty an exhilarating World War 2 game. Based mostly in the Heart of Europe Call of Duty takes you though the horrific situations allied WW2 soldiers confronted during the war. You play as the Americans, British and the Russians as you play through real life events working very closely as a team. You control an individual soldier for each of the countries so expect a gripping story line unlike some other war rivals like ... Read review

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh Nazis at 2 o'clock
Review of Call of Duty (PC) by essexdave

Advantages: Absolutely gorgeous graphics, gameplay and sound
Disadvantages: So addictive, you may complete it quickly

...I spotted an advery for Call of Duty on the PC. Having gone to the website of the programmers it looked very tempting indeed: it promised mind-blowing graphics, dolby digital sound, enemy AI that would be eerily real, and above all, gamplay to rival any first person shooter out there.........So i bought it. It arrived 2 days later and I was immediately drwan to my PC. A quick install later and I was in....controls were perfect......graphics...oh ... Read review

Has WW2 finally got the game it deserves?
Review of Call of Duty (PC) by Ace_of_Spades

Advantages: As close as you can get to WW2 without the Tardis. SAS missions
Disadvantages: Realism can sacrifice action

Upon starting the first level you will be greeted by an amazingly rendered training camp. The graphics will take your breath away on the most basic of machines and once you do the training, the gameplay will stun you too. The first of the three campaigns revolves around the pre-D Day parachute drops that many FPS games seem to revolve around. There the similiarities end, however. You will notice that the gun assigned to you is not the M1 Garand ... Read review

Advantages: fun. realalistic
Disadvantages: really hard at some parts

...without notice. After comparing both Call of Duty and Allied Assault, I found Call of Duty to rank both higher on game play and graphics. I rank this game a high 8 out of 10. I hope you enjoying playing all the single player levels and hours of fun on Multi-player as I did. Multi-Player The Multi-player gaming either on a LAN or Internet is very addicting, I found myself spending as much time playing the Multi-player section of this game as ... Read review

Call of duty is a good game for the singler player missions but the main feat of this game is the multi player, download xfire , get some friends added and murk your freinds in this amazing online shooter, theree are over 1000 servers and you can rent out your own and play on teams with your friends and join clans, strive to be the best out, mowing down your enemies, on servers up to 64 people to get some serious messy gaming on the maps of tis game ... Impressive, but constraining
Review of Call of Duty (PC) by Troyhoughton

Advantages: Beautiful and engrossing
Disadvantages: Just another WWII Shooter

While this game is quite old, it is also a fantastic game if you are still running an old computer. It will offer you a few hours of fun game play, but unfortunately it does eventually become very "samey" with the game being far to linear for any real long-time fun. The graphics are fantastic and the realism seems to be very good, but the AI does leave a lot to be desired as sometimes the enemy just stand in the way of your bullets. With a full ... Read review
