Calvin Klein launched Eternity in 1988, unlike some of it's counterparts from that decade Eternity has lasted the course. When ever I think back to perfumes launched in the 80's I always end up thinking about the more "in your face" perfumes such as Dior's Poison, Calvin Klein's Obsession and Yves St Laurent's Opium, this could well be due to the fact I had friends who practically bathed in all of these perfumes. Advantages: A simple, but lovely scent Disadvantages: Speculation abound
My Calvin Klein Eternity scent came in a 30ml clear bottle, with a very simple rectangular design, and a silver stopper which put me in mind of a key and lock.
The presentation box also follows a simple theme, and is white with silver lettering. It cost me £16.90, which is actually quite reasonable for this brand at this smaller amount.

I was attracted to the basic design of this perfume. I find that a great deal of manufacturers try ... ...though they are attempting to persuade you, without a doubt, that within them lies a heady cocktail that will smother your senses.
Personally, I prefer subtelty, and I instinctively reach out for the plainer packaged perfumes, as they promise a rather more gentle scent with which to enveloppe yourself.

Eternity, made by Calvin Klein is a perfume that I didn’t actually realise that I liked. This is because my English teacher at school saw fit to wear an unacceptable amount of it and the classroom always had that characteristic perfumed smell. But with school finished long ago and the bad memories of English put to the back of my mind, I find that I have rediscovered Eternity and, believe it or not, I actually like it.
I blame Ciao for reintroducing ... ...about twelve years ago by Calvin Klein and in the late eighties, everyone with a hint of fashion sense seemed to be wearing the latest perfume from this respected designer (rumoured to be created to celebrate Klein’s own wedding). It has quite a floral fragrance and comprises citrus and rose with a subtle hint of mandarin. My first experiece with this perfume was about four years ago, when hubby to be bought an excellent purse spray for my Christmas present about 12 days after we met. He went to his mum's that year and left me alone, but hid this under my fake silver tree. I didn't find it until he called me and told me to look for it! It is still regularly featured in magazines as a good one too buy. Of course, now you can buy all sorts of other fripperies to go with it, including the ubiquitous shower gel, bodysprays, shampoo and all that. I know this was mentioned in my other Calvin Klein perfume review but i will mention it again incase you have not read it. Calvin Richard Klein was born November 19, 1942 and is a well-known American fashion designer. His name is also a brand name of clothing marketed by his company, which was launched in 1968.
Calvin Klein was also the first person that made a perfume that could be worn, by both male and females.

Eternity won an award for the Most Successful Women’s Fragrance at the 1989 FiFi Awards. The masculine version of this fragrance was launched in 1989.

...and, now an owner of Calvin Klein's Eternity, every time I spray some, it reminds of of that ferry crossing. We boarded at lunch time, had dinner onboard and then wandered around the shops (duty free of course!) then, I stumbled across this one. I'd, for some reason, never smelt it before, but it was addictive. Unfortunately though they only had the Eau de Parfume in stock, which for my pocket money at the time, was far to expensive so I managed ... ...big words at the bottom…" Calvin Klein". I carried on unwrapping this dainty little box in great expectation of something really great! As I got the bubblewrap off it, I was faced with yet another layer of plastic cellophane, but this is a good thing as it shows its genuine…. I think! I got the cellophane wrapping off it and plonked it all in the bin.. then the fun…opening the box! It felt like Christmas for some reason, I was strangely excited about…Perfume?!

I found out about this perfume as I went in to Boots and sprayed a bit on my wrist and I loved it so I asked for it as a Birthday present and I got it, I wear it most days although I have stopped as I’m running out now so I’ll be asking for another bottle this Christmas.
To me this fragrance is light, fresh, flowery and sweet but if you apply lots it can be quite overpowering. I find this fragrance to last half a day and then need topping ... ...of the day whether it be daytime or evening. The box it comes in is nothing special but it’s nice and the bottle is a clear glass rectangular stylish bottle with a metal top. It comes in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml and you can buy it from a numerous of shops such as Boots, Superdrugs, Argos ect. Prices range from £20-£50 so can be expensive. I adore my perfumes. In fact I would go so far to say it is another one of my addictions. I love the way wearing a certain perfume can make you feel - sexy, sweet, summery, seductive, feminine, fresh. I find that when I wear certain scents I feel in a certain mood, I don't know about you.
So anyway this is one of my staple favourites. It is quite a fresh, light fragrance not too overpowering but has a very distinctive smell to it.
Described as ... ...is a romantic floral fragrance. This harmonious blend of both classic and contemporary scents is a perfect combination, created to reflect timeless quality and modern style. As long as intimacy goes on, so will Eternity". Is a bit misleading as I wouldn't say the aroma is particularly floral to be honest. It has a contemporary floral bouquet of freesia, white lily, narcissus and sandalwood.

Eternity - well it is an absolutely gorgeous perfume. My boyfriend bought me a bottle a few weeks ago and I have worn it every day since. Although it is a little bit expensive if you are on a budget this perfume smells delicious and gives you that special feeling every time you wear it.

This has to be my favourite perfume in the world. It's just so delicious that I sniff women wearing it as they walk by. It's not very often that I can afford a bottle, but when I can I usually spray something like a hanky or pillow case with it so that I can still get a whiff when the bottle has run out. I bought this when it was first launched. To tell you the truth, I always associate it with a friends wedding when the bride and I (as her one and only bridesmaid) sprayed ourselves so liberally with it I'm surprised the rest of the guests didn't pass out with the aroma. It's a good perfume. It lasts brilliantly through the day and you know you're wearing it, right through to bedtime. i have been using eternity for over 5 years now and still think it is the sexiest scent about. I have tried other perfumes but nothing in my opinion tops this truly feminine perfume . It is truly a classic and will go down in history like other well known perfumes like channel no.5 as being a top class perfume . Take my advice dont buy the small bottle if at all possible , splash out and treat yourself to the big one you wont regret it. Timeless ...
