Advantages Advantages Strong, long lasting and cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too strong, fruity smell lingers and vile looking bottle

After digging around the house last week I came across several bottles of aftershave from my early twenties. Included within the collection of dusty bottles was one of my firm favourites from those carefree times of my life, Obsession for Men by Calvin Klein. Obviously as the aftershave was well over 4 years old it smelt disgusting but after some consideration I purchased a bottle for £21.00 for 50ml from www.fragrancedirect.co.uk. This is surprisingly cheap in comparison to how much it used to cost however it should be noted that you would pay £25-£30 in the shops for the same bottle ... more

What kind of present do you buy a family member that has given you no indication of what they would like? That’s it, some fragrance. This is exactly what my younger sister did for me however, she ended up getting it really wrong. Rather than playing it safe and asking my other half what I usually wear and getting me some of that she decided to go it alone and take a punt on something new. The product she chose was Obsession for men from Calvin Klein. Having disliked CK1, CKBe and the CK fragrance stored in a plastic pencil case (the name of which escapes me) I have never been a fan of Calvin ... more

I am a man of many talents and have many admirers and flatterers of both sexes. I am often complimented for my good looks and strong and extraordinary physique. During my leisurely time away from my work at the cider factory, I enjoy entertaining ladies of various ages and sizes and can be seen on most occasions dressed in my Victorian attire, cavorting in my local park and at places of historical interest. I have been complimented many times for my aroma. Both sexes will tell me how masculine and physically strong I smell and I attribute this to my heady and intoxicating perfume which I was ... more

Advantages Advantages lasts for ages, warm and spicy scent

Disadvantages Disadvantages some women may act strangely around you

I thought I would infiltrate the Men's section for a while so I could let them in on a secret, surefire way to attract women. It's called Obsession for Men and it is very distinctive. The brand falls under the Unilever product umbrella and was launched in 1985. It's aim was to carve a niche in the prestige fragrance business. The original feminine fragrance is an intoxicating oriental blend of floral and spices with an earthy warm base - Calvin Klein then transformed the OBSESSION fragrance into a unique formula for men altering the original fragrance to have a fiery and masculine profile. It ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so great smell, very average

Why did I buy it: I needed to smell nicer, better, more alluring, etc etc. I don’t have much luck with the ladies and as such, I have to at least smell nice, even though I can’t do much about the way I look. I paid £12 for this sized bottle and I’ve been quite pleased with it. I’ve pulled three time whilst wearing this so it’s not all bad though personally I can’t see what the fuss is about as I don’t think it’s that great. If I was a woman I’d not be attracted to anyone who wore this. The bottle is plain and simple glass and rounded in shape and in a spray / atomiser format. My mother has ... more

    Advantages Advantages It was free

Disadvantages Disadvantages Packaging, heaviness of fragrance, old fashioned

I own an array of men’s fragrances and as a gift I was given Calvin Klein’s Obsession for Men Eau de Toilette. I have personally used this approximately 12 to 15 times and though it is not one of my personal favourites, it is a pleasant enough aroma. As I was a gift, I have no idea of the cost though o know this product is widely available to purchase. The packaging / presentation is fairly plain and simplistic in its design with a plain bottle and dark brown lid which screws off to reveal the inner contents. The fragrance is most definitely a masculine one as it has aromas of musk and vanilla ... more

I love this fragrance because my husband used to wear it when we were courting. In those days I would sniff my cusions and clothes when he had been near them to get that smell of 'him'. That way I could be reminded of his lovely presence even when he was not there. Obsession is *the* superlative men's fragrance because it is so unlike any other aftershave I have ever smelt. Whereas most aftershaves are very cool, green or citrus like, Obsession is completely the opposite. It is warm and fruity with hints of vanilla, myrhh and spices and the fragrance just blows me away. I just love it when I ... more

Advantages Advantages Super aroma, clean scent; you'll feel good just wearing it

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Obsession is one of the ageless and timeless fragrances. First launched in 1985. You never get bored of it and you keep going back to it again and again. This is a fragrance which has survived the 80's, 90's and the 00's. Reading through the manufacturers website this fragrance supposedly gives you hints of lavender, mandarin, clove, nutmeg and amber. The smell of this perfume is slightly musky with a hint of cinnamon Personally for me it is just a fragrance which works for me. Women love this fragrance. Every women I been out with have commented on this fragrance some have even recognised it ... more

I thought I'd have a go at updating this op because the other day I was out christmas shopping and while looking in Bodycare, was surprised to see a bottle of this on the shelf behind the counter priced at 24 pounds. I jumped at the chance because usually its around 30 pounds in Boots or other shops. This has a subtle scent and is amber in colour. I love Obsession and the smell of it makes me want to cuddle up on the sofa or hug my man. The scent is slightly spicey with a hint of vanilla, but its not overpowering. You only need a little dab of this and it's enough to last most of the day or ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells Really Nice, Only £20.00 for a 125ml bottle, Good Design Of Bottle

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Calvin Klien Obsession is also one of my favourite aftershaves as it has a nice woody oriental scent. In this Calvin Klien Obsession it has lavender, mandarin, amber, clove and nutmeg to create a great smelling fragrance. I also like the design of the bottle, if i never saw the aftershave before and i saw it in boots on a sample i'd smell it because the design of the bottle makes it look nice. Calvin Klien Obsession is around £20.00 - £30.00 for a 125ml bottle which is very good, you can this aftershave from some supermarkets, online or boots. This aftershave you could wear for any occasion as ... more
