WHY DID I BUY IT? I try to follow govt guidelines (5 different fruit or veg a day), but really, I have been using this for years. I like it, but read on even if you don't, because you don't have to drink it! WHAT IS IT? Campbell's' V8 100% vegetable juice is a drink (but see below). ...packaging that V8 was a Campbells product (mainly known for supplying Andy Warhol with source material for one of his screen prints…and the soup isn’t bad either). Nowadays, while the stuff is still made by Campbell Grocery Products Ltd in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, you have to look pretty hard to find that name on the pack. ...I said, it was the Campbells name. And the packaging isn't too bad either - the green and black V* logo on a white background adorned with pictures of the various fruits contained within. You'll be happy to know that this stuff is nice and healthy for you - with only around 70 calories in a 330ml can, you can't complain. This is one of those things that you either love it or hate it. I don’t know anyone who kind of likes it, or thinks its ok, it’s like marmite in that respect. This is primarily tomato juice with a few added extras, seven to be precise, including celery, and parsley, which I think gives it its distinctive taste, and is the deciding factor in wether you are a lover or a hater.
