I bought a Candy CMD 146 from COMET because it had a relatively good eco rating and had a hand wash setting. However, I've given it a poor rating based on a) Poor Quality, b) Lengthy Wash time and c) Excessive Noise. I experienced missing parts, machine dented (and marked as dented), possibly used before, screws loose and finally catastrophic failure. Below is the full tale. A couple of other minor things noticed when setting up: some screws were not tight, or were cross-threaded. Also, water came out from the drain pipe which indicated that it may have been pre-used. Easy to use , has a easy to operate user program, and has a built in tumble dryer. Comes with quite simple user instructions, even i can understand them. With up to 1400 spin Average load capacity of 6kg for washing loads , and drying loads of 4kg. Has a auto sense function, has crease guard and iron free settings, you would have to ask my wife if they really work :) I believe it is Energy Class A ...

Having had either hoover or candy washers all my adult life - with no problems at all i didn't hesitate to buy this machine from CURRYS - huh - worst decision of 2009 yet . Bought in March I have had to have the engineers out 3 times( same problem) up til the end of september - over the last weekend - confined to home as a medical test needed doing i tried to take advantage of the decent weather by doing extra washing - yeah right - after the 3 washes ...
...the previous breakdown occasions and PACKED IN completely. - Off i trundeled down to Currys who could not do anything as it was sunday but suggested that both the manufacturer and their own product care insurance people ( 5.99) a month would only authorise visit from an engineer I went ballistic - threatened to stay outside telling people not to go in - anyway cos i could,n't i had to settle for leaving it in their hands - they rung today to say ...
