This is a good all-round printer for family or office use. The printer is low costing to run around 4 pence per sheet black and white and 6 pence a sheet colour. The printer is very quite and produces some top quality photo print-outs that you won't be displeased with as you would expect from a photo printer it prints up to 1440 dpi (dots per inch), which is very good. ...I did have a Canon 2400 which I put to one side,pulled it out a year later only to find it still worked Ok. However, things had moved on and I wanted some better results. how? I compromised a little on quality, bought a BJC 6000, saved a lot of money, have Canon reliability, and a better inkjet replacement system which saves money in the long run. Happy? Of course I am and I am sorry Canon for treating you so badly when you deserved better from me. ...
