    My Dad works with digital imagery for a living, he works for a company which prints loads of packaging and stuff for everyday household products and suchlike. When we got a computer it wasn’t long before we had a stack of CDs including Adobe Photoshop, Photopaint, Corel Draw, Quark, and pretty much every other imaging software you can imagine.     Advantages Advantages very well styled, small, good software, quick.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not 5 star quality scans, ocr software only trial basis.

    I was rcently in the market for a flatbed scanner and stumbled across a review in a magazine. Although the canoscan wasn't the best model on test for the money, it did well enough to interest me. (gaining a score of 71%) The canoscan looks great and is only a third of the size of a standard flatbed. (even the most expensive ones) It looks great, and is styled really well. The quality of scanning is good (not 5 star, but good enough for the home/internet user) witha max resolution of 600x1200 dpi, in 32 bit.
