Must Read - £35 Canon Scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by mightyd

Advantages: Bargain price- affordable, thin, great design, take up no space at all :)
Disadvantages: USB 1.1 connection limits scan speed

...your solution: This great Canon scanner scans good quality images and yet it is not expensive at all, and is suitable for both Windows and Mac users. You're probably wandering what the catch is, and you're right there is one. This scanner is relatively slow at scanning images into the computer - and that is all - that's the catch. Pathetic really, when you think about it. The preview scan time takes approximately 16 seconds so a normal scan, depending ... Read review

A Near Perfect Scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by anonymili

Advantages: Sooooo many features
Disadvantages: None that I can think of

We use the CanoScan Lide 25 (which I'll refer to as Lide 25 from now on) at work and a handy little scanning tool it is indeed. It's very slim and lightweight and sits nicely on my desk, ready to jump into action whenever I need to scan a document or photo. You can copy directly from the platen (glass screen) to your printer or print or even email and it's very easy to set up. AN ABUNDANCE OF FEATURES The Lide 25 uses a USB connection ... Read review

Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by brianatimmons

Advantages: image quality
Disadvantages: software ,scan speed

I have owned the canoscan scanner for several years now. the scanner is small, compact and portable. On the front it has 3 quick buttons which usefull for speed.eg copy which will scan and print.the image quality is great and via the software provided you can select the image quality in DPI (dots per inch). It simply plugs directly into your pc or laptop using a usb cable and it has no need to be plugged in to the mains. The downsides are 1. The software ... Read review

Good all rounder!
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by rubyhigham

Advantages: Good quality scanning, No need for external power supply.
Disadvantages: Can be a little slower using high resolution settings.

If you are looking for ease of use, then this is the one for you! One of the main advantages of this particular scanner is the slimmer design over others on the market. scan quality is outstanding and fairly quick. One of the other useful features is the software supplied by Cannon allowing you to do a variety of adjustments to your image BEFORE sending it to your PC. Another useful feature is the scanners ease of integration into everyday programmes ... Read review

Go For It !
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by Wizardways

Advantages: Easy to learn-as-you-go. Inexpensive. Slim design.
Disadvantages: Operates at USB 1 speed - even so, it is not a slow scanner anyway

...compatible with XP. This Canon scanner is so simple compared with the Agfa model) The scanner installed on my Windows XP Pro pc without a hitch and works perfectly. It certainly makes an excellent scanner for the first-time buyer as it is so simple to use. It comes with an very good software package, including Scan-gear and OmniPage OCR. The comprehensive on-line guides will soon turn a novice/nervous user into a happy/confident user. Quiet ... Read review

Want a cheap scanner then look no further.
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by Acereviews

Advantages: Great value for money,Easy to use.
Disadvantages: None.

This is the first scanner that i have brought, purchased through work from Misco for just over £40.It looks stylish and looks like a more expensive model. It has a resolution of 1200dpi by 2400dpi.It is so easy to use as it only has three buttons on it for copy, scan and email so you don't have to be a brain surgeon to use it.It has your usual usb port but no other slots. Also scans books very well too i was surprised when i tried it.Just make sure that ...
