Must Read - £35 Canon Scanner

Advantages: Bargain price- affordable, thin, great design, take up no space at all :)
Disadvantages: USB 1.1 connection limits scan speed

...your solution: This great Canon scanner scans good quality images and yet it is not expensive at all, and is suitable for both Windows and Mac users. You're probably wandering what the catch is, and you're right there is one. This scanner is relatively slow at scanning images into the computer - and that is all - that's the catch. Pathetic really, when you think about it. The preview scan time takes approximately 16 seconds so a normal scan, depending ...
...impatient person. Canon is a well known adn respectable company and i would never expect them to bring out a rubbish product so you can totally rely on them. This scanner is awesome - hardly take up and room at all on my computer desk and it's a flatbed scanner meaning that it is flat surprisingly, and really is slim. The previous scanner that i had was a ridiculous 6 centimetres thick but this one is a mere 3.8cm. Canon have been great for releasing ...

A Near Perfect Scanner

Advantages: Sooooo many features
Disadvantages: A little slow to scan at the highest resolution

We use the CanoScan Lide 25 (which I'll refer to as Lide 25 from now on) at work and a handy little scanning tool it is indeed. It's very slim and lightweight and sits nicely on my desk, ready to jump into action whenever I need to scan a document or photo. You can copy directly from the platen (glass screen) to your printer or print or even email and it's very easy to set up. '''AN ABUNDANCE OF FEATURES''' The Lide 25 uses a USB connection so you ...
...indeed - saving on energy is always a better option. Unlike other home scanners I've used in the past the Lide 25 scans to a fairly high resolution of up to 1200 x 2400 dpi so when scanning photos you get very good quality images. The software that comes with the scanned allows you to scan documents to PDF too and you choose whether you want them in colour or monochrome or select the image quality you want from 75, 100, 200, 250, 300 or 400 dpi for ...

So be warned, this is a users only review, which i hope can be helpful all the same. I've had this scanner for about 3 years now. I bought it shortly after i had my first internet connection. Seeing as i live in a remote forest zone in the south of France, it's taken a while to get DSL here, the last villages are still being ...

Good all rounder!

Advantages: Good quality scanning, No need for external power supply.
Disadvantages: Can be a little slower using high resolution settings.

If you are looking for ease of use, then this is the one for you! One of the main advantages of this particular scanner is the slimmer design over others on the market. scan quality is outstanding and fairly quick. One of the other useful features is the software supplied by Cannon allowing you to do a variety of adjustments to your image BEFORE sending it to your PC. Another useful feature is the scanners ease of integration into everyday programmes ...

This unit is not the cheapest on the on the market or the dearest, but as a mid-range unit the LiDE25 offers excellent value for money in terms of price verses features and overall performance. ...

...compatible with XP. This Canon scanner is so simple compared with the Agfa model) The scanner installed on my Windows XP Pro pc without a hitch and works perfectly. It certainly makes an excellent scanner for the first-time buyer as it is so simple to use. It comes with an very good software package, including Scan-gear and OmniPage OCR. The comprehensive on-line guides will soon turn a novice/nervous user into a happy/confident user. Quiet and ...

This is the first scanner that i have brought, purchased through work from Misco for just over £40.It looks stylish and looks like a more expensive model. It has a resolution of 1200dpi by 2400dpi.It is so easy to use as it only has three buttons on it for copy, scan and email so you don't have to be a brain surgeon to use it.It has your usual usb port but no other slots. Also scans books very well too i was surprised when i tried it.Just make sure that ...
