Advantages: Easy to install, High resolution, USB connection Disadvantages: My printer made it redundant
I've owned this scanner for about 6 months and found it to be a very good purchase over time -very few problems with it and it's also very simple to install! Simply plug it in to your USB port and let windows find the drivers (may be different for linux users!). You will need some picture editing software to use this, but there are good packages avaliable to be downloaded for free -I use picture publiser. Also it's a very sleek design so even though ... ...I have no objection to this.

In laymans terms this means that it's got more than enough detail to get complicated scans into the PC so long as they're in black ink or similar. The scanner often has problems reading pencil drawings however this is a problem universal in scanners so don't let it deter ...

...a legal crack on the canon site which I got and it solved the problem.
All in all I have found the end result of using this product excellent.
And a key design is that it can stand on its side to save space and it can even scan while on its side with no problem in scan quality. ...
