Bought for partner, have been very impressed with it. Very small, stylish, and have recommended it to many people already. Will be looking to pick up canon's replacement for it, when they release it.

Excellent Camera, great quality and portability. Takes great pictures easily with its controls easy to navigate. Its battery packs hold's a great charge and only takes about an hour to re-charge. Originally thought to purchase a Casio Exilim but glad i chose canon. The lens quality is supurb, and photo quality remains great even when moving. I bought my IXUS 60 in January 2007 (my IXUS V3 finally gave up the goat after 3 years of continuous use). I have always been a fan of the Ixus range and whilst the newer Ixus 800 and 900 models offered more features such as better focusing and face recognition, I rarely had a problem with my old Ixus with focusing so decided that these features were not necessary. Disadvantages: Flare on the screen in bright conditions, and limited manual control

Disadvantages: No Image Stabilisation, Needs Special Battery from Canon

...it needs a special rechargable Canon battery (there is no battery low indicator so I suggest you buy a spare battery). Takes a standard SD Card - I got 1gb for a tenner online. For the amateur photographer , this is such an easy to use camera packed with features and pre-set modes for a variety of situations. It's movie mode support JPEG compression. This camera is brilliant. The pictures are just great! Most cameras are good quality, you can pick up a 3 megapixel camera anywhere, but with over 7 megaixels, you cannot go wrong. I have recently bought this camera and i think it is excellent value for money compared to similar priced products. It has large screen to view your pictures which are excellent quality due to the number of pixels and you can take more than one picture and the camera will stitch them together which i found useful when taking landscape pictures.I found this camera very easy to use and fits in my bag easily.
