It's a great little device with plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need. ...(it might have been dropped!). The Canon was of a similar price to the Fuji and has a similar specification (6 megapixel, 3xoptical zoom (the Fuji was 4x). I'd always been impressed by the Fuji's performance but the Canon blows it away! For a start it is a lot more compact slipping easily into my jacket pocket. This camera is an absoloute joy to use. I love the extra large viewfinder screen, which, in the \"view photos\" mode is sensitive to the angle at which it is held. My sister purchased this camera from a photograph shop in Belfast.So far i am impressed with the quality of the photographs which have been taken, but there are a couple of things i must warn about before you buy this. The menus are not simple to navagate through, and changing the settings of the photos, i.e. size and quality is also hard to find. But in saying that, every new toy takes a while to get used to! ...pounds.Picture quality as said by canon is amazing by this camera. It has 3X optical zoom and 4 x digital zoom. Total of 12X zoom you get with this. When you take a photo with a white background the picture quality comes better than the whittish background. Really nice qualities of picture. Red eye reduction is nearly good.
