I purchased a new IXUS-750 and little over a year later the Zoom Lens broke down. As the camera was out of warranty (12 months) Canon UK would not pay for replacing the lens but referred me to their dealers who offered to help for a hundred to two hundred pounds. One can buy a brand new camera for that sum. I have always had great respect for Canon cameras but I was badly let down this time. Have always used Sony Cameras in the past, so i can only compare to a Sony. Not as pretty to look at as most Sonys and definitely not as user friendly.
