...This camera is also Canon Direct Print, Bubble Jet Direct and Pictbridge compatible for PC free printing. It is connected to a PC by USB (mini-B PTP) (supplied), a television by phono inputs (supplied) and is NTSC or PAL selectable and compatable.
Lastly (phew!) the battery is a removable rechargeable lithium-ion (type NB-3L) (1 hour charge). With the LCD monitor on you will get approx 210 images, before recharge and with it off about 550. There ... ...my fiancee bought me the Canon IXUS IIs for my birthday! Feeling very impressed with the cold stylish metal body I proceeded to put the battery in, press the ON button and take snaps. It's that easy! The auto mode deals with most situations you'd want but being an avid SLR owner I wanted to fiddle. Soon we had black and white pictures, sepia tinted ones and a Vivid video all crammed onto the 16mb SD card supplied. Still without opening the instruction ...

Advantages: Small and Robust Disadvantages: Requires a steady hand
I would describe this camera as a good, all-round holiday camera. It's small, robust, easy to use and packed full of features.
The 3.2 Megapixels of power allow you to take great photos and make great prints out of them.
For the amateur photographer there's the AUTO mode, where you simply poiint and click and the camera takes care of the rest. However, if you are feeling a little more creative you can use the MANUAL mode and unleash your creativity.
... ...movies with sound. What I especially like about this camera is its fast shutter times. This means you get the picture you want, rather than the one 5 seconds later as can be the case with some cheaper models. On the other hand, this fast response time can be slightly problematic, as if you shake too much whilst shooting, blurring can occur.
The software provided is great, and very easy to use. Even my little sister managed to use it - and that says ...

Advantages: With a powerful 3.2 Megapixel sensor you can print enlargements right up to A4 in size. Disadvantages: Access to CANON iMAGE GATEWAY (Not available in all regions)
...MP HP 720 and the Canon blows it out of the water with more features, smaller design, picture quality, quality of construction, and in every other category I can think of. What i heard was 2X is not enough zoom, but if that is your top priority, you are looking for the wrong type of camera. I have also read that battery life is a concern, but the small Lithium Ion battery provides plenty of picture taking power (both with or without the display on). ... ...not being sufficient. I don't know of any cameras that come with a large memory card standard, so I don't understand this rediculous complaint about an otherwise great product. The software included with the camera is amazingly and easy to use. It offers many different options and projects for the creative at heart. It is also very easy to shrink pics for e-mail. The camera menus are also easy to learn and use. The best thing about the camera, besides ...

Advantages: Great picture quality Disadvantages: Is fairly heavy.
To start with, the look and feel of the camera instantly give the impression that this camera is built well, and it is.
It has some great features on it, you can change the size of the picture you want to take and the quality of it, all on the camera. You can even set a background on it, or add sounds, althought I think it would be nice if you could set your own photos as backgrounds, but I guess I'm just picky.
I find it very easy to operate, ... ...after about 5 minutes of messing about pressing buttons, you have the camera sorted. It works very well with Windows Xp (What I have, I don't know about other platforms etc).
The zoom isn't too powerful at 2x and 6.4x for digital zoom. The image at top zoom may look speckly until you take it then its as clear as the others are. I haven't once had a blurred picture and I use this camera at concerts too!
It also has a movie recorder with sound, which ...
