Advantages: Looks Good, Impossibly Small, Great results Disadvantages: No viewfinder, Manual on Disk
...enough to win a gold Canon Ixus i zoom. (5 Mega Pixel)
The first thing you notice about this camera is the size, approx 9.5 cm long, 4.5 cm wide and 2 cm deep it is smaller than my mobile phone and easily slips into your pocket. The monitor is an ample 3.9 x 2.9 cm. Although looks have never been that important to me when choosing a camera I have got to admit it looks great. Of course you would expect any camera bearing the canon name to be a good ... ...would seem to be the case.
The only problem with such a small camera is that there is no room for a viewfinder. This would give added support when holding it to your eye and so cut down on camera shake as well as saving battery life as you could switch off the screen. This is however a small price to pay for the benefit of a camera that you can take anywhere.
The package includes a 16 MB SD card which is just about enough to find out if the camera ...

Advantages: Stylish design Disadvantages: Slow shutter lag
I'm in love with this camera- my husbands borrowed it for an airshow today and i feel like ive got a limb missing!
LOOKS
Very very stylish. About the same size as a mobile phone- in fact, mine has been mistaken for one a few times. Mine is purple but it comes in other colours too, including black and champagne.
IMAGE QUALITY
It is only a small camera yet it produces clear, crisp images. It is great for taking indoor pictures, useful if youve got ... ...but not often. The macro shots are very detailed- more than i expected. SHUTTER LAG
It will take a single shot in a around 1.8 seconds, which is quite slow. This is fine if you are taking a picture of something still, but trickier if you are trying to take a picture of something moving. Saying this, my children rarely stay still and i never seem to have problems getting a good picture of them.
EASE OF USE
It is very easy to use- all the different ...

Advantages: Sexy looking with brilliant quality pictures Disadvantages: Small screen, hard to see previews of pictures
A Christmas present certainly much appreciated, this camera is a must have gadget. It's light, slim and very attractive looking design, only 9.6 x 4.5 x 2.3cm in size certainly beats all camera's I've seen for looks especially the nice chrime finish and sleek black.

It takes vary good quality, and large pictures, with a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944, and it has a video capture mode, which has a resolution of 640x480. It has red eye reduction, which is useful for people but a word of warning, it does not work on dogs. ...

Advantages: takes excellent pics light weight and very easy to use Disadvantages: nothing
Canon ixus I zoom. I adore this camera so much a big fan of my sister's canon ixus I the 4.0 mega pixel version which also took excellent pictures. I wanted a very tiny camera that is light weight and easy to carry around. This is great to put in your handbag, as it is tiny as a mobile phone.
The I zoom is an upgrade of their ixus I, the 5.0 mega pixel camera that does not have zoom. If you connect the docking station to the TV you can view and use your remote to control the pictures displayed on your TV. This also came with a 16mb mmc card and a wrist strap. I had to buy my own leather case but that was easy to pick up from eBay.
First impression I was impressed it was much smaller then the pictures I have seen, of course I went to the shops where ...

Advantages: Design, Functionality, Usability, Adaptability, Connectivity, the lot. Disadvantages: Optical zoom could be greater.
The Canon IXUS iZoom has an inbuilt excellent 5 megapixal CCD that will allow the user to enlarge their images up to A3 size retaining crystal clear quality. The camera houses a 1.8-inch LCD display which is ideal for viewing back the photos you have just taken. The unit has a 2.4x zoom and a combined 10x optical/digital zoom
The camera has 16 scene modes that allow the user to refine the shots they have taken. The scene modes include sports, and ... ...as red eye reduction. It sports an insanely wide range of pre and post-capture options, allowing infinite levels of customisation and perfection of your images.
The camera is USB 2.0 compatible and comes with a very small 16mb SD card. I recommend you upgrade the card to at least 256mb to get the most out of your camera. I purchased a 2Gb card that can hold over 600 of the cameras very finest quality snaps. And we're talking pretty excellent quality. ...

Advantages: Great photos taken quickly and easily, small and quite long battery life Disadvantages: Has to be charged in dock
A fantastic camera that has served me well for over a year now (and seems to have retained its value as I bought it for £180 last year)!
There are many things that make this a great camera - first of all it is available in many different colours and is ultra-slim and small in width, fitting into the smallest of pockets so there's no need for a case.
The quality at 5MP is enough for most users and it's fast start up time and ease of use means that ... ...also be taken and they are of good qualiy also.
Reviewing photos is very easy and zoom is available so details can be made out clearly. The battery life is excellent and has lasted me over a week whilst on holiday and to charge it only needs a maximum of 3 hours in it's dock.
Overall this stylish camera is great for anyone looking for something a bit different!!! ...

Advantages: Good quality cheap camera Disadvantages: None so far
I have this snazzy little camera in purple and it is an absolute gem. I'm a complete novice when it comes to photography and was looking for something small and simple that I could take out with me on nights out. As this is my first digital camera I have nothing to compare it to but i do absolutely love it. The functions are very simple to get to grips with. The kids and pets feature is good for preventing blurred imagesas is the red eye function.
... ...picture quality when you use it and the 1.8 inch lcd display is a good size. The usb docking station is very quick and simple to use. Just place the camera in the dock and upload your photos.
This camera is also rechargeable and I find that it lasts me about 160-170 photos before the battery dies. It's size and weight mean it is perfect for putting in your pocket and whipping it out so you should never miss a photo opportunity.
I have taken this ...

I bought this for £200 from ebay and has proved to be a great buy.
Cool looking and compact, this 5-megapixel digital camera has the speed, image quality and simplicity with a nice curve design that fits in your hand well. Measuring in at 9.6 x 4.5 x 2.3cm and weighs only 105g, this is perfect for quick out of the pocket action when you need it.
On the back of the camera alongside the LCD screen is a mode switch, allowing for movement between Playback, ... ...direct camera to printer output, a Function set for screen menu activation, as well as a four way controller that doubles as a zoom control. Located on top of the camera is the on/off button and the shutter release button.
This is a very simple point and shoot camera, with the focus and exposure automatically set when you have pressed the shutter button halfway, I found it so easy to get good quality shots!
It has 16 shooting modes including seven ...

Advantages: ease of use, compact size, great features Disadvantages: a bit pricey at launch
Having been really disappointed with the previous digital camera I had (Fuji s5000), I was somewhat reluctant to go an buy another.
However, when I bought this little beauty, I am glad I did.
The price was a little on the high side at the time, and the 5 MP would be fairly low end compared to some of the 10MP out there right now, but this camera does the job for me.
Ultra compact, easy to use, and an internal re-chargable battery that seems to ... ...adore my Ixus.
While the above factors are good to consider, we all need to focus (pardon the pun) on what a camera does, and what we need it to do. Take photographs!
This Ixus does the basics of taking a photograph very well indeed. Enhancements such as red eye elimination and the anti shake function compliment the fantastic lens in the unit. I have always been impressed by every photograph I take with the camera, and even after one year of ownership, ...

...send the camera off to Canon to have it repaired, due to the camera developing a memory card error. The camera is still under it`s 12 months warranty and Canon did a quick and excellent job repairing it. I do, though, recommend to get the extra 2 year warranty for £44. This means the camera will be under 3 year warranty and just makes one feel better and safer.

Advantages: Small, compact and lightweight. Disadvantages: Size of memory card shipped with it
This is one of the first proper digital cameras I have owned and its is perfect for travelling with, being small and compact its lightweight enough to keep in a pocket or hang around your neck.
