    This is a review of the canon EF 70-200mm F4.0 non IS lens. I have own this lens for just over 2 years and it is the best lens I have ever owned. I brought this lens because I wanted to replace my sigma 70-300mm lens which I got in a bundle with the camera which is a good lens for the £200, that is what it would have cost me to buy and it served me well over the years but I was looking for a better quality lens that I could use every day, so after reading hundreds of review seriously hundred and if I looked harder I probably could have read thousand.     I bought this lens about 6 months ago, and have taken many snaps with it. I love it. Although this is the cheapest 70-200mm in Canon's lineup, there is nothing on this lens that feels less than top quality. It feels brilliant, and the results are just as good. When looking back at the images on your PC you will be amazed at how this lens can turn an ordinary picture into something worh saving.     One of the cheaper of Canon's excellent 'L' series professional lenses, I bought this lens for a safari trip in South Africa. Twinned with a Canon 300D, it gave sufficient length for the price. It is also very solid, and coped with several hard knocks with no ill effects. The lens is an EF mount, suitable for all Canon EOS cameras, including those that also accept the EF-S lenses. The lens itself is built to 'L' series standards, although it is not weather sealed.
