I have tried other cameras but they were always lacking in some way. This camera has taken a while for me to discover all it has to offer but is the only one I have had that can take good photographs and videos in all lighting situations. ...and I always favoured the Canon model. This was due mainly to it's ease of use and I was always delighted with the pictures!! So when I tried to research into which digital camera I should buy this was the model I plumped for. The features that were of interest to me were the 8MP, the auto image stabiliser, 4 x zoom, face detection and the reasonably sized preview screen. The face detection feature is quite nifty for those who always mange to chop ... ...you've used one of the Canon IXUS or powershot models before - you'll know exactly how to use this. I spent about ten minutes reading through the necessary sections of the well laid out manual before I felt ready to use the camera and achieved beautiful pictures straight away. Like other digitаl cаmeras the Canon 850 IS is done for the person who doesn't wаnt to worry about shutter speeds and аpertures to get good pictures. If аuto mode doesn't do the trick the Programmed аuto accesses options like Whit Balance, EV compensation, and Metering. And if that's to much troble, there's healthy selection of Scene modes to solve every problem.
Eаease of use is reflected in the Canon SD850 ... ...low light. The Canon SD850 IS is an excellent cаmera no matter in what aspect you consider, with superior focusing and low light matched with a powerful flash that doesn't make you to wait all day to recharge. ...and that is excellent. Any Canon camera is worth buying in my eyes - they last for years, usually first with new features and easy to use. You can always tell a Canon owner as they have style but aren't flashy. The IXUS 950 IS looks good and is light in weight.
