I purchased this camera in Saudi Arabia when it first came out, and at the time was streets ahead conventional cameras which were often big, black, heavy and hard to operate. I fell in love with this camera as soon as I laid eyes on it. It is so small, so slim, so silver. And the picture quality is superb - I have never had a bad shot in the two years I have owned it, and I have taken a LOT of pictures. I’ve owned a Canon Ixus L-1 for several years, and have been very happy with the quality of photographs taken with it. The camera is small, lightweight, and comes with a carrying case, so can be easily carried around either attached to a belt, or in a bag or pocket. Photos can be taken in the 3 usual APS formats, including the Panoramic view, useful for taking pictures of landscapes at a distance. It is also possible to print the date and time on ...

Having lugged a large and heavy SLR camera around on my travels I decided to go for something a bit smaller and took a fancy to the IXUS.
