Advantages: Prints whole sheets in just seconds. Looks very modern and sleek. Little noise. Disadvantages: None whatsoever.
...printers prior to getting the Canon LBP 1120 I wasn't entirely sure where to start, to combat my uncertainty I decided to shop around, seeking the finest price possible.
In the end my search brought me back to my usual shop for components, www.ebuyer.com. After around ten minutes browsing their printer section I came across the LBP 1120 Laser printer.
Canon in general have always served me well, being one of the only firms to charge a fair price ... ...The printer runs from a Canon all in one cartridge, which according to them ensures little maintenance is necessary (until of course the ink runs out). This is particularily useful for the casual home user, as some printers can take some technical knowledge to work out, not this one though!
Paper feeds into the printer easily, we used normal plain paper for the testing, and ended up printing a set of 6 holiday photos from last summer, all of which ...

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use and install Disadvantages: Doesn't seem to warn you when toner is low
...find the disk. Support from Canon (telephone) was excellent and the software can be downloaded online.
There is no LCD screen but most functions can be dealt with through the pc-based monitor. I don't seem to have figured out a way of knowing when the toner is low though so make sure you have a spare on hand. I didn't and had to spend 3 days waiting for the mail-order toner to arrive! My local PCWorld doesn't stock the toner for this but it was ... ...all stock it). Prices range from £30-£50 a time so shop around. Each cartridge supposedly does around 4000 pages.
When you switch the printer on, it doesn't take long (just a few secs) before it starts printing. A lovely funky blue light on the front lets you know it's switched on. The operation is plenty fast enough for me (10ppm) and it is reasonably quiet. The paper holder holds a reasonable amount of paper (at least 100 pgs) and you can choose ...

Advantages: Cheap to buy (£60 at PC World) Cheap to run (Laser vs inkjet) Disadvantages: Less than very best quality. No usb cable in box.
I am setting up a home office, and already had an old Lexmark Z55 inkjet printer, but I needed new ink cartridges for it. I went to PC World, and original cartridges for the Z55 would have cost £50 (1 colour and 1 B&W). O.E.M. cheaper (30%)
PCWORLD had the Laser Shot LBP1120 on offer at £59.99 . The decision to buy it was simple really. I can expect at least 3 times the life of a laser cartridge vs inkjet, and OEM cartridge replacement is about ...

Advantages: Very quick printer, with very short warm up time Disadvantages: Occasionally liable to jam when hopper over filled
...£70 mark, compared to the Canon £120 pricetag, the quality is noticeably different. The Samsung print quality is comparably faint, lacking the clean crisp print achieved with the Canon. In addition the Samsung laser toner can only be topped up a maxiumum of three times before the print quality is compromised. A new laser toner costs more than the machine itself which means throwing them away on a regular basis. A replacement canon toner can be purchased ... ...far are its tendency to occasionally jam when the hopper is overfilled. It also failed at successfully printing labels, with some of the edge trim somehow getting stuck within the imaging drum. This was reasonably easily rectified however, but we have not attempted printing labels since.
Overall a very good product and at the low price makes it the most attractive laser printer of its class on the market. ...

Advantages: It`s design is perfectly. I have it for more than an year, but I didn`t have any problems with it. Disadvantages: I really don`t see any disadvantages, except that it`s not color printer
I dreamed a lot about having a laser printer which is cheap and good. After some searchings, I realised that this printer is really good, cheap, and it`s for me. I and my family print a lot, daily. It prints with a good speed, I don`t manage to take the paper but the next paper is already coming. I also like it`s design, it`s really interesting. And i also like the voice assist : it also says : "The printing is begun" "The printing is finished" it`s ...
