Advantages: Lightweight, Easy to use, Good battery, Widescreen Disadvantages: Slight buzzing noise
I have had this camcorder for about 3 months now and am happy with the overall performance and durability of it. The battery life is good (about 2 hours full usage) and the fact that it is native widescreen is a great feature for it to have. I found it very easy to setup and it has great presets for all types of usage. The only problem i have with this Mini DV camcorder is that when recording in a quiet atmosphere (i.e. Indoors) a buzzing can be ... ...the tape mechanism. This buzzing noise does not occur if you use an external microphone which is pefectly possible due to the good incorporation of a mic-in port. Other than this slight problem, i have not found any other cons. I find this camcorder very easy to use but with all the settings and features to allow for great movie quality in either widescreen or 4:3 at the simple touch of a button.
