Advantages: excellent picture quality Disadvantages: nothing except the size
...quality very robust . previous canon camera i have used pretty often is my friends a530 which is now out of market. the DIGIC 3 processor it has is extremely fast when i compare to my earlier experience with a530. the battery backup is pretty good . if you don't use flash too often and not to picky about shooting u can take more than 200 images on a single charge of my sony NiMH batteries i bought. i haven't tried the canon specified AA batteries ...
