    This printer prints superb photos and documents. I am talking professional quality. When I was looking for a printer to replace my old Epson, which gobbled up ink and was for ever getting blocked jets, I decided I wanted to get the best quality prints with relatively cheap ink replacement. I didn't want a scanner or a fax machine and I didn't need to digitally alter my images on the printer - after all I have a computer to do that. That is why I chose this printer.     This printer prints superb photos and documents.     I was looking to upgrade from my old bubble jet which had served me well for black and white, to a printer that would also produce high quality colour prints and professional looking photos. The only disadvantage is the size of it - it occupies the best part of my desk - but that is easily outweighed by its functionality. Apart from the standard Letter / A4 / B5 / A5 feeder, it has a removable 4" x 6" photo paper holder and a neat CD tray.     My experience of printers before I purchased this Canon had lead me to believe that inkjet printers however upmarket you go just "could not cut the mustard" when it came to printing photos. Fine when new but after a reasonable amount of use the results were not so great-----leading to wasting ink cleaning the jets which then gets on various rollers and eventually onto paper, at the same time the volume of normal operation and particularly cartridge charging steadly increases eventually becoming unbearable.     I upgraded to this printer so that I could print my digital photographs from home. For that purpose it is fantastic with edge to edge printing on 6x4, 7x5 and A4. The photo printing software that comes with it is easy to use. It is fast printing 2-3 6x4 photo's a minute. It is also a good all around printer but is a bit slow for printing large documents (I have a laser printer for everyday printing). It is really cheap to run printing lots of photo's before requring a change in cartridge and all 6 colours are seperate.     The Canon i965 is a great printer for people after good quality prints, but at an average price. It's a mid-range printer and the quality and price of it are definitely good. By using our digital camera and printing off A4 size photo's, the quality is excellent, especially when using special photo paper. The prints can also be done on actual photo size, which is the size you would normally get your prints done at at a Photo shop. Though you might feel guilty putting the photoshop out of business, you'll be happy enough with the money that you are able to spend thanks to this printer. It is ... more

    Undoubtely one of the best model of the series, the i965 combines a very respectable speed with an excellent quality of printing. The fact that supports also direct print over cd/dvd, along with the wery useful photo paper feeder for the smaller sizes, makes it an all in one solution for any printer needs.
