Advantages: none as far as i could tell Disadvantages: countless!
...an application form on the Car Credit UK website, I received a phone call from a very cheerful chap who explained to me that he was about to move heaven and earth in order to find me a finance solution for a car...great I thought.
Sure enough I was found a lender and was asked to go down to my local Car Credit UK branch..the nearest being 35 miles away but no matter...I made the trip with a friend of mine who knows a considerable amount of cars. ... ...a valuation on my existing car and checks my documents, great..im eligable for a new car he says. Fine so far I thought, until my documents dissapeared into another room along with my credit card which was the only thing acceptable apparently for proof of signature..at this point alarm bells are ringing as this company looks and feels dodgy and seedy through and through.
Nonetheless we were then shown round the cars...I have never in my life seen ...

Advantages: Almost guaranteed a car Disadvantages: Appalling service and shocking products
My car required a lot of work done to it last year - money that my wife and I just could not afford. Given our credit history - we had previous financial difficulties - there was no way we were getting credit through a mainstream car dealership. I browsed the net and after a lot of 'should I, or shouldn't I' conflict with myself, I applied to one of these companies. I e-mailed my, (very few), details to Car Credit UK and within an hour I received ... ...one of these companies, (Yes Car Credit), on 'Watchdog'. Their pressure sales tactics were appalling, so I was on guard when we arrived. This is how it works: They will ask you to bring along a few documents that prove who you are; phone bill, bank statement, drivers license, etc. When you arrive they will take those docs off you and disappear. They tried to get my bank card off me but I refused and gave them a photo ID with a signature on it. They ...

Advantages: got a car Disadvantages: long time waiting around
...book (V5) couldnt tax our car for nearly 7 weeks - would not recomend this company to anyone- phonecalls galore before hand- after vehicle was purchased trying to speak to someone was a nightmare.
You are rushed quite alot to choose a vehicle, so many times we were told we will be 2 minutes 30 minutes later someone came back.
i would not recomend this place to anyone unless they are desperate - we tried to pull out of the contract as not happy ...
