    Carcraft is one of , if not THE biggest Car used car dealers, with 11 hypermarkets across the UK. With over 8000 cars to choose from there is certainly something for everyone and every budget! We bought a new, well used, car on Mothers Day this year. We decided that we needed a bigger family car with me expecting our second child. And it was as good an excuse as any other!!     Advantages Advantages It's huge. Bigger than massive - Its huuuuge!!!

    Now, this place is huge. You can prominently see it from the M62, emblazened with WE STOCK OVER 1500 USED CARS display. It looks impressive, and can be seen on the Yorkshire Weather report on Yorkshire TV as proud sponsors. It took me a while to fathom out how to get in to this place. I headed down the hill towards M621, to be greeted with a sign which read 'CAR CRAFT OF LEEDS - TURN AROUND!' Which i thought was fun - and informative!!     Now if you are looking for a car you must be a very picky person if you dont find one here! The place itself is huge and they stock many varieties of the same car - whether its by year or colour. I had one thing in mind - finding myself a gorgeous little peugeot 206 in blue. I had looked everywhere but was having no luck so we tried here. Now be warned, like any other car place you have your typical pouncing salesmen!     I usually make snap decisions about things I probably shouldn't, and buying a car was one of them. I saw the car (a 51 plate Ford Focus) on the website on the Saturday night, and went in to see the car on the Sunday. After a quick chat with my girlfriend, I decided to go ahead with it. The salesman didn't seem to interested, and as soon as I said I would buy the car, he took my details and that was that. Then I went to get my detaiuls taken for finance.     my girlfriend found a car on the carcraft website and we arrange to travel up to leeds to view it. when she enquired about the car she was told to stop it being sold she would have to pay a £100 deposit , this would be returned if you didnt buy the car. on the way to view the car the clutch on the car went so she had to get a tow back home to get it fixed. she phoned carcraft and explain the problem , they did try and get her to take the car to leeds and they would take it in any condition !!!. as she is self employed she doesnt get much time of to drive 250 miles to view a car . the guy that ... more

    On entrance to Carcraft Leeds we were approached by one of the sales team and we told her that we had come for our appointment, she went off to find the person we were there to see. On her return she said that she had been told to look after us, after choosing a car she sorted out what could only be described as a fools deal. my wife and I were told to take a seat and think about the deal. we were about to leave when I received a call on my mobile, it was the person we went there to meet and when I told him what was going on it turned out that his co-worker had stollen his lead.     Carcraft Lakeside This company are the worst of car dealers They are very crafty with their selling techniques My son was quite upset when he though he had actually bought a car at a reasonable price (having shook hands on the deal!) only for the salesman to get his 'manager' to come and say the car couldnt be sold at the agreed price and then tried to re negotiate with warranty's etc needless to say we told our son walked away

    The second you walk through the door, you will be pounced on by salesman, as by most companies. Beware of handing over your keys for them to value your existing car, as you just might not see them again. It is their "practice" as told by a manager, to keep your keys as you haven't bought anything yet!!! The price advertised on the internent is not the price in the showroom, salesman even had the nerve to confirm that price on the internet, was just to get you there and through the door!!! eg, 1,300.00 more.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Guarantee sold is the biigest rip off ever! Much worse than an MP's expense claim

    I was not only stung once by this company but twice!! Ok so some of u will be thinking the guy is a fool but here goes..... Firstly I bought my wife a New Mini from Carcraft at a very resonable price and extremely good interest rate. the salesman at the time talked me into purchasing an extended guarantee. good idea i thought at the time. i read the small print and agreed to the terms of having the car serviced within 6000 miles and then at makers recommended intervals. No problem. After a further 12 months my own car was ready for replacement and as I had already what I thought a good honest ... more

    The car buying experience started on Friday evening and we eventually drove away with my new car at 7.30pm on Sunday! It seemed confusing to Carcraft that someone else was buying the car for me and that the finance would not be in the same name as the driver. Anyway after agreeing on £179 per month over 5 years which if you work it out is still a fortune for 51 plate Peugeot 206, we were taken to the little box rooms in the back and practically forced to buy the extended warranty (which I have since found out is totally useless as nothing is covered).
