Advantages Advantages Beats it's brother in everyway to be an average drink

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's still only an average drink

Yesterday it was plain old Carlsberg tonight it's the export, courtesy of my mother who's sharing her booze whilst we have some Chinese food she's got from Asda. So again, lets do the intelligent thing and...review it. Carlsberg are one of the cheaper lagers, this ones a bit more pricey than the normal “green can version”, infact talking about the colours, this one inverts the normal can and is silver with a green trim. This time the can comes in the smaller and more average size of 440ml, and is 5% ABV so a far stronger drink than it's little weak brother (3.8%). The company we're first ... more

After a recent opinion I wrote concerning Carlsberg PREMIUM Lager, it was suggested to me that Carlsberg EXPORT Lager was quite a decent beer. Now that's the sort of challenge this site could use more of. So at the first opportunity, I rushed off to Safeway as fast as my little legs would carry me, and purchased a 500ml bottle of CARLSBERG EXPORT LAGER for the not unreasonable price of 99p. I won't bore you with any facts about the brewery as I've already listed some of the more salient points in the previous opinion. Nor will I go into any detail about the bottle...save to mention it's green ... more

I am quite sure that many of the Ciao readers know me by now as a miser. The sad fact is they are right. (but I do learn from my mistakes) And dog gone it I think I’ve put this beer in the wrong category. I couldn’t find it in the standard lagers. Oh, what the hell I’ve started writing so I’ll carry on. As you can most probably tell I had to sample a few Carlsbergs before I could give my honest opinion. One of my favourite lagers is Stella Artois, but Sainsburys didn’t have it on promotion this week, so as you do (miser in my case) I looked for the next best thing ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice Tasting Best Carlsberg Drink

Disadvantages Disadvantages Clashing with my comment earlier lager is lager not much improvement can be made

carlsberg export is in my opinion by far the best drink of the danish breweries franchise, there are other drinks like carlsberg special brew and carlsberg premium, but they are not a touch on export, The UK's Most Popular pub chain even stopped supplying Rival Drinks Franchise Carling and decided to supply carslberg on a seven year exlusive deal, in no way am i putting down carling as in my opinion they are equally great, and i would recommend both brands but on the subject export is a highly popular drink for a reason, nice taste, can be used for a social event a casual drink or even for a ... more

Advantages Advantages Tastes like an angel weeping on your tongue

Disadvantages Disadvantages I know you pay for quality but at nearly a quid a can it burns quite a large hole in you pocket

It's amazing how different Carlsberg and Carlsberg export actually taste. They are two premium strength beers made obviously, by the same company. But in the taste department there is really only one winner. You could be suckered into thinking that as they are both Carlsberg beers, then they would probably taste very similar. This however, is definately not the case. I was never a big fan of the original Carlsberg because it always tasted a little on the cheap and nasty side (a bit like skol) rather bland in flavour and very fizzy. Probably the best lager in the world? I think not. However ... more

I had had a hard day at work last week and so decided to stop by at the off licence on the way home. They had a special offer on Carlsberg Export. Export Strength lager will help me to forget my troubles I thought! Did it? Here goes.... Carlsberg Export comes in a 440ml can and cost me £2.99 for a four pack. The cans are a deep gold colour with the brand name and general details written on in dark green and there was a crown emblem above the name. This is because Carlsberg are apparently brewers "by appointment to the Royal Danish Court" The alcohol level was standard for all premium strength ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice and cheap at the moment

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not Quite what it says on the tin !

Never mind the “Great Rock and Roll Swindle”, this is a con to beat the best, so dodgy it puts del boy trotter to shame and Arthur Daley look like a regular geezer, why? – Read on… ‘So good the Danes hate to see it leave’? Well it doesn’t have very far to travel to be honest as most of the stuff we get was brewed here in the UK, and has never seen Denmark. MYTH The fantasy is that this is brewed in an ancient brewery nestled in the hills of Copenhagen, from the finest quality Dutch hops, pure Scandinavian spring water, by skilled craftsmen gently ... more

Advantages Advantages Great taste, Really funny adverts

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pity they only make beer

We've all hear of Carlsberg and see there adverts on TV advertising there brand to make us more aware of the image there trying to create for themselves. Sadly for Carslberg they don't seem to be advertising for there Export brand other than "it's so good that the Danes hate to see it leave" slogan every now and then. The adverts are really funny and while keep me entertained during the usually 3minutes of adverts trying to get me to sue someone for an accident (but that's a whole other topic!) they also give a good point that if I was Danish I'd hate to see Export leave (yes I am aware that ... more

SO. I'm stood there. Supermarket. Isle 5287. Beer Isle. I fancied a change. A change from the same old hoppy dryness of most english lagers. SPECIAL OFFER smacks me in the face like a bulldozer with duracell in it. £18.99 For 24 500ml cans. Blimey, this is on special offer so i'm thinkin how much does it cost normally? I must have been ill that day because normally i'm careful with the pennys. Short arm deep pocket syndrome is what the doctors said! In went a case of the green and gold labelled beer. Worth a go ya never know i thought. And so with a cancellation for a night out from a friend i ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Taste When Ice Cold

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so god when Warm

Carlsberg is a great tasting drink, I could drink it all day everyday. The best time to have Carlsberg Lager is all the time, lol no the best time is on a hot day and get an ice cold larger from the fridge to quench the thirst. Mmmmm, lovely feeling when it dribbles down your neck. The can is green and usually has football promotions on it. I have been drinking Carlsberg for only about 3 years now but I don’t know what my life would be like without it. Possibly really good, lol and sober. Its probably the best tasting Larger in the whole wide world Best Served Chilled You can buy a can ... more
