    When I came to write this review I couldn't help but see how low this shop has scored and so I read through some of the reviews and am really surprised by the poor service people experienced. Our experience was a good one but I think it does show that it will depend upon your own store and the staff they have in during the day. Perhaps we were just lucky.     Dont do it, just dont ever subject yourself to the stress and trauma of ever buying a carpet from these cowboys. I did and have about two hundred grey hairs to show for the experience. Truthfully I experienced the worst customer service ever and downright abuse, A month ago I ordered a carpet for my daughter's bedroom, I paid £223.40on the day and was told the carpet would be delivered in approximately two weeks time. True to their word I had a phone call two weeks later to tell me that the carpet had arrived in stock and that the fitters would be around on Friday, great it's all going to plan ... more

    Advantages Advantages Some carpets are quite cheap.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a huge choice available and some are very over priced!

    ~ Carpet Right ~I have used Carpet Right numerous times in the past, occasionly I have bought carpet for a bedroom but mostly I have used them to buy carpet for my stairs.Previous to moving here, my house had laminate floor everywhere except my bedroom and the stairs.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Pretend bargains, shoddy customer service, scandalous fitting charge..

    I needed a carpet for my hallway and stairs and I saw all the sale prices advertised so visited Carpet Right in Bristol which said they had 50% off and then an extra 20% until Wednesday. I was thinking that I would get a real bargain! Rubbish Customer Service: What actually happened is that I asked for advice from behind the counter and was grunted at a bit. He gave me a quote for fitting the carpet (including a £30 charge for delivery even though they would be driving to my house to fit the thing). 20metre square area would cost about £300 to fit before I'd even included a carpet.     After reading all the very bad reviews about Carpet Right I was almost convinced not to buy from them. But since they are the only carpet dealer in my area, I decided to go to the shop and take a look at what they had anyway. I went there 1 month ago, the choice was good and they were having their summer sales. Everything had about 20-50% discount and the carpets not on sale were clearly marked as such. The carpet I liked was 100% wool, neutral colour £34.99 per sq metre and also had 50% discount. I had all the measurements with me so they guy was able to give me a very accurate quote.     When we first moved to our house carpet right fitted all of my carpets for me. My living room is 22foot long by 12 foot wide, i had a short pile carpet with fleece backing from carpet right for £920 without fitting or grippers. My bedroom carpet was the same carpet just in a different colour which cost me £460 without fitting or grippers. I had rubber backed bathroom carpet which cost £280 My smallest bedroom which is 10 foot square cost me £600 because i wanted a nice thick pile as this was our nursery at the time, total = £2260 plus all extras like fitting, carpet grippers and underlay.     Disadvantages Disadvantages dealing with these jokers willl only serve to raise your stress levels.

    Another extremely unhappy customer, wish I had read reviews before heading to Carpetright. Do these people ever tell the truth? It has been lie after lie, promise after promise and still no carpet. Have never experienced such consistently bad customer service. Avoid at all costs. Do they not realise we have better things to do than take pointless days off work and move all our furniture, only to have to put it all back again after the fitters have not turned up! And apparently it is our fault we believed them! They are very quick to take your money and arrange (fictitious) dates, beware, all ... more

    shop at carpetright at your own peril, my mother had a carpet supplied and fitted, they did not follow our instructions carpet was damaged they offered new carpet or carpet of choice we wanted refund they refused i went to carpetright where the store manage was rude and abusive and refused to sign paper regarding refund, sent 10 email with no response they said verbally we can have refund but will not type it on offical paper as it would be incriminating, with fought for 5 weeks and they still just ignore us appaulling customer service and relations the worst service ever solicitor replied it ... more

    We called into our local Carpet Right branch in Barrow in Furness over the weekend looking for a new rug for the living room. We had looked in several other stores, but Carpet Right had the one we were looking for. I noted upon entering the store, that they had a 60% off sale "On a huge range of carpet, laminates,vinyl, rugs and beds", and that also they were offering an additional 10% off on selected items until Monday.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a great choice of traditional Axminster type carpets and they tell lies

    Took a look in the store opposite Reebok Stadium just for some ideas. A particular carpet caught both myself and the wifes eyes. We looked but a price of £40 per Sq Metre put us off. A sale price offering all these weird and wonderful discounts baffled us so we brought in the prowling sales man who had been hovering around us waiting for the kill. He worked out the price and the carpet was £17 per mtr but he told us the sale was only for another day. We chewed the situation up and went back the next day which was 28th Dec 06.
